How to pronounce Reiltin

I am reading a book where one of the characters is called Reiltin it is maddening that I have no idea how to pronounce it hoping a wise mumsnetter can help.

Yeah agree with pp it's Irish and pronounced rail tin.

thank you it does make the character more real, I agree with Andsowebeaton it puts me off if I cant understand the name, the main reason I cant get on with the popular swedish crime writer.
