Boys names- none that I love!

Am 31 weeks with DC3, a DS this time. When naming my other 3, I loved all their names, and now feel like I've none left.

DH&I both like Stanley, Jack, Issac, Luca. But don't love any, really.

Please help me decide, suggestions welcome.

(My other DC have fairly standard top 25ish names, no issues with spelling or pronunciation as we have a bloody awful surname and I want the same for this baby!)

I like Stanley from your list. Jack is very popular already, Luca sounds feminine to me and Isaac can sound like I suck (sorry).

How about
Edward
Reuben
Dominic

autumnmoon · 19/04/2016 10:57

Stanley is fab. Other suggestions:

Sydney/Sid
Lucas
Jude
Max
Hector
Theo/Theodore

Grufalosfriend · 19/04/2016 10:59

Another vote for Stanley. Also like Sidney, Quentin and Reuben.

SuddenBeetE · 19/04/2016 11:26

Our cats are Rueben and Sidney! Grin

Love Edward but it's my other DS middle name, don't want to reuse, really.

I love Isaac, but if you go for it make sure you spell it right Wink

Or what about Samuel?

HeteronormativeHaybales · 19/04/2016 11:49

Yy Samuel.

If you want to avoid spelling problems I'd strike Isaac off your list as a lot of people misspell it as Issac (as you did in your OP!)

Oscar
Percy
Robert
Peter
Alexander

RiverTam · 19/04/2016 11:59

Really? Lots of people misspell Isaac? I assumed that was a typo.

My faves, fwiw, are Ezra and Keir.

SuddenBeetE · 19/04/2016 12:17

Oops just noticed I've not only spelt Isaac completely wrong, I've also put this is Dc3 Blush it's my 4th.

My DCs names have cropped up, they're

Thomas Henry Edwards (maiden name) Surname
Samuel James Surname
Mia Catherine Surname

If that helps!

(Massively outs self)

From your list I like Jack & Isaac - hate Stanley (but I hate a lot of the grandma/grandad names that are popular at the moment) & find Luca a bit pretentious for non Italians in the UK even though I know a couple.
I like Seth, Ethan & Tristan. All quite simple and written how they sound.

Notso · 19/04/2016 12:26

Of the four I know two are Issac, one is Isaac and the other is Isak. I love it. DS3 was Isaac for twenty minutes but DH persuaded me to change to his first choice.

When I first saw your other children's names I thought William. From your list I love Stanley. I really dislike Luca/Lucas/Luke don't know why as everyone on here loves them.

OneMagnumisneverenough · 19/04/2016 12:44

Having seen your childrens' names I think Joseph.

Tom, Sam, Mia and Joe

SuddenBeetE · 19/04/2016 15:12

I like Joseph, not sure I love Joe? My Thomas is always Thomas (Tom never caught on!) although we do use Sam so would like to like the NNs too if that makes sense?

To return to my post, in the context of your other dc's names, I'd go for Jonathan, Frederick or Zachary.

sonlypuppyfat · 19/04/2016 18:46

Not very keen on the granddad names, I think they died out for a reason. But I like new testament names John Thomas Matthew luke etc

Schmoochypoos · 19/04/2016 18:51

Looking at your names (lovely btw) can I suggest

Harry
Antony
Robert

BertrandRussell · 19/04/2016 18:53

You will love the name when it's
associated with a baby you love. I really thing there is far too much pressure on people when it comes to naming babies.

dizzytomato · 19/04/2016 18:56

If you like Edward how about Theodore (Theo or Ted) or another classic name like Jonathan. I think Richard, Bernard and James need to make come backs. There's always Thomas never in and never out of fashion.

redmimi · 19/04/2016 19:03

Isaac is nice, I like Jack too but very popular. How about Seth?

Blackpoollassy · 19/04/2016 19:58

Not sure an Italian name would go with the sibling names you already have as the boys' names sound very traditionally English.

Finley?

Thomas, Samuel, Mia & Finley

TheTartOfAsgard · 19/04/2016 20:08

I have a Stanley - he's 11 and I've never met another one!

Names on my list were Michael, Lennon, Albert, Robert, Billy, Franklin, Peter and Alfred.
