Love it . The only one I knew of was extraordinarily pretty so I think that's why. She got called Cia.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 14/04/2016 16:58

Is it pronounced Loo-Seer or Loo-Cheer.

TealLove · 14/04/2016 17:09

Pretty isn't it?

It's a lovely name.

RiverTam · 14/04/2016 18:27

Love it though I'd pronounce it Loo-see-ah, unless you're Italian.

CaptainAnkles · 14/04/2016 18:43

Really like it Smile

sonlypuppyfat · 14/04/2016 18:45

I've a friend called that, it's lovely

Voteforpedr0 · 14/04/2016 18:46

Yes only on a dark haired, olived skinned girl though

Sophronia · 14/04/2016 19:22

I like it but would also pronounce it Loo-see-ah unless you're Italian.

doceodocere · 14/04/2016 19:27

Loo chee ah, definitely.

I know a charming 7 year old with this name. Lovely.

BikeRunSki · 14/04/2016 19:28

I love it and would say Loo - che - a - I don't see the problem with the pronunciation, but I am a fan of the Mapp and Lucia books.

NadiaWadia · 15/04/2016 05:44

English pronunciation was traditionally Loo-sha (as in the Caribbean island St Lucia). Spanish is Loo-see-a. Italian is Loo-chee-a. There are other ways to say it as well, so it could be a bit confusing! Pretty name, though, more interesting than Lucy.

Hiddlesnake · 15/04/2016 05:52

Another Mapp and Lu-chi-a fan here!

Schmoochypoos · 15/04/2016 06:08

Love it

Twowrongsdontmakearight · 15/04/2016 06:37

Beautiful

marmitecrumpets · 15/04/2016 06:46

The Lucia I taught was pronounced
Loo-sha.
Very pretty name

Footle · 15/04/2016 06:59

I was at school with a Loesje, pron Loosher, the Dutch version.
