Arthur for middle name

DH said I had to ask mn as he disagrees with me. DC3 due in 4 weeks.

I think we are sorted if DC3 is a girl but are disagreeing if it's a boy. We both love Arthur but if we put it with our surname I ends up sounds like "half a knot". I think it is fine to go with Hugo Arthur (as people don't really use/even know your middle name anyone once you are older).

DH disagrees as he thinks it will still get called "half a knot" as if Arthur was it's first name.

Sorry hope that actually makes sense ! Grin

I find middle names are rarely used 'out loud' so think it would be fine. When you announce the name its Hugo Arthur not Hugo Arthur Surname and likewise when he is older he will be Hugo or Hugo Surname mostly :)

FIW I LOVE Arthur as a name, and in some ways half a knot wouldn't bother me, it would just make me pronounce Arthur very precisely :)

Thank you.

I agree completely, back to DH persuading tactics now (think they are working) Grin

Call him Arthur as the first of two middle names?

So for instance Hugo Arthur James Knott.
