As a sister for Naomi. Is it too poncey/too much of a mouthful?

It is definitely difficult to say. I know someone with an Aria and it took me a long time to remember it because it's unusual (in my circles anyway.)

ToucanPlay · 30/03/2016 16:49

My daughters name.

We call her Rorie for short. I love it (obviously!) but there is the Sleeping Beauty connection which is made by people more often than I thought it would.

It's a lovely name and sounds good with Naomi Smile

PeanutJuice · 30/03/2016 19:52

I love it. When introducing your children you would need to say "Naomi and Aurora" rather then "Aurora and Naomi" Auroraand is definitely a mouthful

Persephone76 · 30/03/2016 20:02

It's a really beautiful name. Not sure it "goes" with Naomi though, but I don't see why sibling names necessarily have to match.

Hayels · 30/03/2016 20:05

Bit Disney for my liking. Plus quite a mouthful with Naomi

AngharadTheSplendid · 30/03/2016 21:34

Ive been wondering the same thing today, but after saying it out loud a few times I decided it is a bit too tricky to say. I also don't like Rory which I think would be inevitable. It's a beautiful name though.

EatSh1tDerek · 30/03/2016 21:36

Over-reaching, a tad. Are you generally quite insecure?

bekindtome · 30/03/2016 21:40

I love this name but it's been vetoed by all my family. I was surprised about the princess connection as I didn't know this until it was pointed out to me. The main problem is my mum and son can not say it so I've had the go for another name.

Flutterworc · 30/03/2016 21:42

One of my favourites but DH veto'd Sad but turned out to be a boy so I have more time to nag...

originalmavis · 30/03/2016 21:45

I like it. I know a few Italian Aurora's.

CalacasSG · 30/03/2016 21:54

Aurora is nice enough. However, I agree, it's a bit hard to say! I do like the NN Rorie though Smile

Love that Name.

Doesn't sound right with Naomi

ASpiderInThebath · 30/03/2016 22:03

I love the name Aurora and Rora rather than Rorie as a nickname. I think it goes fine with Naomi.

FatFrillyFilly · 31/03/2016 01:04

I know an Aurora & her mother never shortens it & hopes it never will be shortened.

Naomi & Aurora is a bit of a mouthful but it could go.

AGnu · 31/03/2016 01:11

If you're bothered by the Disney connection, Aurelia could be an alternative.

UptownFlunk · 31/03/2016 01:17

Came on to suggest Aurelia too. Much prettier than Aurora in my opinion.

Jemappelle · 31/03/2016 05:54

LemonLuLu · 31/03/2016 11:54

Beautiful name and sounds absolutely fine with Naomi.

BushDiggle · 31/03/2016 16:08

Too Disney for me!!! Sorry

MamaLazarou · 31/03/2016 16:30

It sounds wishy-washy and faintly ridiculous to me.

MamaLazarou · 31/03/2016 16:31

(Naomi is gorgeous, though)
