Is that ridiculous?

I wanted the name for DD1 but was vetoed. Now pregnant with dc3 and I still like Indigo.

Too knobish?

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
SoThatHappened · 28/03/2016 03:31

No. I like it!

Pinter · 28/03/2016 03:33

It's a yes from me

I also want juniper for DD2 Grin

outputgap · 28/03/2016 03:47

Will the child be tall, thin and glossily dark haired? Then I think Indigo is fair enough.

I think it might be difficult for everyone to carry off.

marsbarmarsbar · 28/03/2016 04:09

I think it's cool but will invariably be shortened to 'Indy'. I agree with the previous poster, I imagine indigo to be a photographer who has a dream catcher tattoo and that type of hair that dries beautifully after a dip in the sea.

wombthereitis · 28/03/2016 07:52

It's a bit naff. Sorry Confused

manicinsomniac · 28/03/2016 11:35

I think it's beautiful.

But I would definitely expect her to be arty, theatrical or eco-minded and to have a hippy/alternative style and outlook on life. I'd be a bit disconcerted to meet a suburban accountant called Indigo.

Floggingmolly · 28/03/2016 11:36

No. Really, no.

ilovevegcrisps · 28/03/2016 11:37

I think Imogen is lovely and makes me think of indigo for some reason Grin

Paintedhandprints · 28/03/2016 11:38

Its lovely but she would have to have blue black hair. Or dark blue eyes.

BettyBi0 · 29/03/2016 06:46

I like it but it's very hippyish and potentially a lot to live up too. Maybe save it as a middle name?

MamaLazarou · 29/03/2016 19:21

I like it. I work with an Indigo. It's a name that is enjoyable to say.

sonlypuppyfat · 29/03/2016 19:24

There's a European guy called indigo who works in a local shop, he's tall slim and dark, pretty gorgeous really. I like it

MNemonica · 29/03/2016 19:47

Sounds like a boy's name to me as it is close to Inigo.

If your other children are called Scarlet and Violet, just don't go there!

mrsschu · 29/03/2016 20:30

Yes it is ridiculous, sorry. It's trying far to hard to be cool and failing.

HappydaysArehere · 29/03/2016 21:11

Picturing poor Indigo saying her name when she starts school. Not the easiest name to pronounce.

RedToothBrush · 29/03/2016 21:36

google 'indigo child'

its a no from me
