It's a bit very out of fashion but for some reason I'm drawn to it for dd due in June!

Love NNs Peggy or Maggie.

Am I just being completely bonkers?

Dd1 is Lily
DS is sachin (Indian name- DP is Indian)

I'm not sure. It's okay; there are definitely 'worse' names from the past, although Peggy really doesn't have a nice sound to it. It doesn't really go with your others, though.

Timeandtune · 27/03/2016 17:00

I like Margaret. Simple and classic.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 27/03/2016 17:03

Peggy is fantastic, due a revival.

Margaret is great because you could also have from it Daisy, Molly, Meg, Maggie, Margie.

Helenluvsrob · 27/03/2016 17:04

Lovely name. Dd1 middle name after my mum. Peggy Maggie Meg even daisy as nicknames. Fits the criterion to be anyone you want - sweet little daisy , magz the hip cool dude through the prime minister !

Voteforpedr0 · 27/03/2016 17:04

Love maggie.

sooperdooper · 27/03/2016 17:04

I like it, and yes, lots and lots of nn options :)

TheWrathofNaan · 27/03/2016 17:06

Love the name!

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 27/03/2016 17:06

I think it's great, good nn potential. I don't love Peggy, but like Maggie, Maisie, Daisy, Meg.

ClariceBeanthatsme · 27/03/2016 17:08

I think you are too soon, the 100 year rule means it'll be popular again in probably 2050 ish.
I love Audrey though

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 27/03/2016 17:14

The Op would beat the popularity rush then Clarice. Well known but uncommon name. Perfect.

Sophronia · 27/03/2016 17:30

I like it with nn Peggy

MrsMoggy · 27/03/2016 17:32

My great nan was Margaret aka Peggy. Her daughter my nan is also Margaret but no nicknames. I know a few two and under girls called Peggy

HainaultViaNewburyPark · 27/03/2016 17:36

I really like Margaret.

lovelilies · 27/03/2016 18:46

My granny was a Peggy, lovely lady :)

IAmAPaleontologist · 27/03/2016 19:08

My Margaret is 7 and fabulous. Mostly gets Daisy but also Meg and goes through phases of wanting to be Margaret.

ashesandfire · 27/03/2016 19:10

It's my middle name, after my gran and I hated it growing up. Now I think it's ok but I don't like any of the nicknames. I think Margot is far nicer and softer tbh.

MadisonAvenue · 27/03/2016 19:14

It's my mother in law's name...enough said Hmm

loubielou2 · 27/03/2016 19:18

There are some variations to consider. How about Marguerite, Marguerita or Margo?

Thurlow · 27/03/2016 20:01

Fantastic name - am currently expecting DC2 and if it's a girl, it will be Margaret/Maggie

SleepyRoo · 27/03/2016 20:05

Thatcher

candykane25 · 27/03/2016 20:08

Margaret is definitely on the tip of a comeback. I know a Margo. It's happening. Ditto Kathleen.

Babylove2015 · 27/03/2016 20:52

Nothing wrong with Margaret. There are baby Mabels out there - now that's really old fashioned! ( I like Mabel btw). Maggie and Daisy are cute nicknames.

PunkAssMoFo · 27/03/2016 21:01

Margaret means 'pearl' - the birthstone for June.

Not keen on Peggy though.
