Choices for boy #3

Tryingtodecideboy3name · 25/03/2016 19:37

I've name changed as some of my other posts and details on this post will give me away and I know a few real life friends who use the site too...

Anyway, we've recently found out we're having a third boy and struggling to decide on a name or at least one we agree on.

Suggestions so far:
Felix
Alexander
Dominic
Barnaby

Any thoughts/further suggestions?

For info, we already have a Casper and Sebastian.

I just LOVE Dominic, think it's underused but I love the sound of it. Same characteristics as Nicholas, in my mind. Goes well with your other DCs too.

Very crisp C & T sounds in your kid's names. I like it.

IMO Felix too popular, Barnaby too soft, Alexander too dull.

DOMINIC!

Sorry if that doesn't make sense, I'm so tired!

Thank you, this is what I need to hear, it helps!

Dominic is my favourite too

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 25/03/2016 19:49

Barnaby - love it
But Dominic good too.
Dislike the other two, sorry.

KaraokeQueenOfTheNorth · 25/03/2016 19:53

I love the name Dominic :)

RockUnit · 25/03/2016 19:55

I like Felix and Alexander.

Technoremix · 25/03/2016 20:01

I love Barnaby. I think Dominic is a bit square sounding?! Felix and Alexander are nice but very common. What about Atticus or Nathaniel or Beau?

Tryingtodecideboy3name · 25/03/2016 20:05

I like Atticus, but concerned it's a bit too trendy and of the moment. Quite like Nate, but not sure of Nathaniel - seems quite soft??

There's a surprising lot of love for Dominic! Husband's #1 choice is Alexander. Mine is Barnaby.
Felix is a late addition (I'm more keen - husband not so into it) and Dominic we both kind of like, but not sure.

Look on the Granfather forum for some good names.

Julian was the name that came too mind.

Do you have a link to the grandfather forum? Thanks!

Love your DS names OP.

Names that would go well-

Louis/Lewis
Laurence
Rex
Jude

Like Dominic and Felix from your names but Rex slightly stronger and better with your DS names.

Sophronia · 25/03/2016 20:43

I think Dominic goes really well with your DS names

FarrowandBallAche · 25/03/2016 21:15

Magnus
Arthur

DramaAlpaca · 25/03/2016 21:19

I like Dominic with your other names too.

SoftSheen · 25/03/2016 22:06

All great names, but I think that Felix goes the best with your other two.

Or how about Otto, Magnus or Bruno?

Pagetta · 25/03/2016 22:43

Love Alexander and Barnaby (our fave for DS2 at min!)

Summ3r · 25/03/2016 22:58

Love felix and Dominic

Shock I love Sebastian and Felix and Alexander. They are all on my future baby list. Along with Thomas and Atticus. Congrats! Thanks
Pipilangstrumpf · 26/03/2016 06:25

I like Dominic, Magnus and Quentin.

Tryingtodecideboy3name · 26/03/2016 06:59

Some good ideas/thoughts here - will show the husband! Thanks all.

I would go for Alexander I think but I like them all and they go well with your other dc names.

Caspar, Sebastian (your sons have fab names!) and Felix were all on our shortlist for DS last year Smile. I really like Dominic also and quite like Alexander. The only one I don't like at all on your list is Barnaby, for me it has quite a different vibe to the other names. Of the names you posted I'd go with Felix and then Dominic.

Other names on our shortlist were:
Miles
Conrad
Ted (but I dislike Edward and Theodore and detest Teddy!)
Tobias (pronounced the German way Toe-bee-as)
Hugo
