It is a nice enough name, but depends on surname. You wouldn't have an Aidan Caydan would you? Also be careful what the initals spell out. You wouldn't have Aidan Simon Smith - ASS.

It also depends on the rhythm of the name and how many syllables is the surname. That gives the clue for the middle name.

If you have a one syllable surname - you have a one syllable middle name i.e., Aidan Charles Jones or a three syllable middle name i.e, Aidan Harrison Smith. You wouldn't have two syllable middle name. i.e., Aidan, Jamie Thorn.

If you have a two syllable surname - you go for a one or three syllable middle name. i.e., Aidan James Potter. Two or three sound odd. i.e., Aidan Frederick

If you have a three or more syllable surname you go for a two syllable middlename - i.e., Aidan Lawrence Fredericks

Aidan Jamie Thorn sounds fine to me. We have an Aidan Justin 1-syllable surname, so obviously think Aidan is a great name.

ABitAsleep · 14/03/2016 12:35

I like Aiden, and think Aiden Blake has a nice ring to it!

SpidersFromMars · 14/03/2016 12:37

Aidan James is quite nice

LizzieMacQueen · 14/03/2016 12:38

Spelling can be confusing but other than that I think it's a nice name with a nn of Ade.

MissTessmacher · 14/03/2016 12:38

Aidan is a fab name.

I would keep it Irish and go with Patrick as a middle name.

I know a very cute Aidan Edward surname.

Do you like any of his relatives names? Your dad? Dh's dad?

Uncles? Grandparents?

I like it. Classic. Simple.

KayKayKK · 14/03/2016 14:22

Why is Aiden nicer? It's a spelling mistake... Aidan is the original

Agree Kay. Aiden hurts my eyes.

ddeemummy · 14/03/2016 16:35

Really like Aidan I wanted use it but knew too many already

Lweji · 14/03/2016 16:37

Would Quinn be too unreasonable as middle name?

SprogletsMum · 14/03/2016 16:40

I have an Aidan and the only thing is everyone spells it wrong! I know it makes no difference but I love Aidan and hate Aiden.
Mine is an Aidan Harry.
