I have heard Isolde pronounced in three ways.

Is-ol-da
Isul-day
Is-old

Which is correct?

In the movie it was Iz-auld (I have no idea)

Diggum · 11/03/2016 21:38

Not sure but there was an Isolde in my class at school and she pronounced it Is-ol-da.

Diggum · 11/03/2016 21:40

I think I prefer Iseult, pronounced "Iss-ult", though. (Unhelpful).

NameAgeLocation · 11/03/2016 21:41

Yes I like Iseult better (sorry, also unhelpful).

Ninjagogo · 11/03/2016 21:43

Will get shortened to Isa anyway. Just avoid any Tristans Grin

LauraMipsum · 11/03/2016 21:53

Is-ol-da is the pronunciation for that spelling.

RockUnit · 12/03/2016 15:38

Izz-OLL-da

Wolpertinger · 12/03/2016 15:41

Izzollda. It's a lovely name but I would assume you like opera and Wagner.

MitzyLeFrouf · 12/03/2016 20:12

They're all correct.

CakeRattleandRoll · 13/03/2016 09:19

I would pronounce iz-OL-da. Love it.

centigrade451 · 14/03/2016 17:25

I pronounce it Izold.

Raines100 · 14/03/2016 22:17

The one I knew was Iz-oll-da

Hobbitfeet32 · 14/03/2016 22:20

I know one and hers is pronounced Isold.
