Really liking Imogen, what are your thoughts? Really can't think of anything for a middle name though.

Last name is one syllable, starting with H.

Thank you for the suggestions.

I'm particularly liking Imogen Sophia.

DH has just suggested Imogen Rosa which I think could be quite nice too.

What do you all think? Are the initials IRH okay? I'm always paranoid that ill unwittingly give my child initials that mean something awful Shock

My DP wanted to call our dd Imogen. I'm not crazy about it i'm afraid as I don't like the shortenings but for a while dd was going to be Imogen Fleur.

TondelayaDellaVentamiglia · 02/03/2016 10:04

any dd of mine was always going to be Imogen...but it was HORRIBLY popular 20 odd years ago so we went with something else

and five years later that was every-fucking-where

so I like it. I also liked Grace, but avoided that for fear of producing a great clumsy galoot of a child and lumbering her with the most ironic name.

Thank you for your responses.

I'd be grateful for any more opinions on Imogen. I don't want to ask friends or family as, from what I've seen on here, that can open a can of worms. So I'd really appreciate your feedback before DH and I decide. Thank you all.

I think Imogen is lovely. It has a nice gentle sound but isn't a flimsy name in any way. If that makes any sense whatsoever!

BrendansGotAMangina · 02/03/2016 11:43

Imogens a pretty name, my niece was going to be an imogen summer but that niece turned out to be a nephew and got shay Kevin instead Grin

lostinmiddlemarch · 02/03/2016 11:46

Imogen Maria.

It's a great name and stands the test of time very well.

whattheseithakasmean · 02/03/2016 11:46

I love Imogen, good strong Shakespearean name.

It also brings to mind Idgie Threadgood from Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe, so great literary associations.

I like Imogen Rose, Imogen Pearl or Imogen Grace Smile

DontKillMyVibe · 02/03/2016 13:16

I really like Imogen. Though I think Imogen Rose flows better than Imogen Rosa even though I prefer Rosa as a name.

Onemoretime29 · 02/03/2016 13:21

I agree about Rose but unfortunately we can't have any names that end in an 's' sound because of our surname Sad so that also rules out grace which I also think is beautiful.

Imogen is a nice name I'm adding it to my very long list lol what would be the Nn ??

lostinmiddlemarch · 03/03/2016 19:40

I know an Imogen who gets Ginnie, Jenny, Ima, Gem, Immie...endless possibilities.

KathyBeale · 03/03/2016 19:42

I love Imogen and I think Imogen Pearl is very beautiful. Or on the same theme, Imogen Ruby?
