Isn't it Brynmor?

I have an Uncle Bryn. It causes me great entertainment.

VoldysGoneMouldy · 12/02/2016 20:30

I have a Bryn. One 'n' is the traditional spelling. I'd never even heard of Gavin and Stacy until DS was about three weeks old Grin It's been mentioned a few times, I won't lie, but not a big deal. Am yet to meet another Bryn, and DS loves his name. He has been called "Brian" on a few occasions, by people just reading his name rather than hearing it - but that's the cost of 'cre8ive' spellings being popular Wink

Fantastic name - I might be slightly biased but it's fab.

You know it means hill in Welsh? I'm 37 & have lived all my life in Wales, the only Bryn I know is my elderly Uncle Bryn

StarkyTheDirewolf · 13/02/2016 00:02

Bryn is on my list as a middle name. Dh is Welsh. I think it's lovely.

Achoo123 · 13/02/2016 07:22

Brynn is a cool name. I like it a lot.

Alisvolatpropiis · 13/02/2016 10:56

Brynn is a misspelling. It's Bryn. I went to school with one. Regardless of spelling I would always assume male.

Elllicam · 13/02/2016 11:01

I like it for a boy or girl.

Heatherbell1978 · 13/02/2016 11:08

I used to work with a Brynley which I really like. Other variations could be Finn or Blair.

CeriBerry · 13/02/2016 23:29

My brother is a Bryn! I really like it. I'm in North Wales so nobody would bat an eyelid here. I know a few but not loads. Know more with it as a middle name. It's lovely!

BettyBi0 · 13/02/2016 23:31

Bryn is great! My first thoughts weren't Gavin and Stacey but just Welsh

WinterWinnie · 14/02/2016 20:18

I like Bryn for a boy and Brynley/Brynleigh for a girl

manicinsomniac · 14/02/2016 20:42

I like Bryn for a boy and Brynn for a girl.

ConesOfDunshire · 15/02/2016 10:32

It's Bryn. Great name.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 15/02/2016 23:10

I like Bryn. Never come across it before. Used to know a Wynn, which I always thought was pretty cool!

LadyPriggsbottom · 16/02/2016 13:33

I like Bryn but probably wouldn't choose it unless DP or I were Welsh.

LBOCS2 · 16/02/2016 14:05

I'm related to a Wyn too. My family is big on their traditional Welsh names, clearly!
