Brother for Melissa

Apologies for this. I've done threads before but dh wants to start again because we can't agree.

I thought we'd go back to basics and scrap all my criteria. We do agree we want a name that 'matches' but we don't even agree on the genre of dds name. I am set on two names in particular and thought he liked them too. I expanded my list and he says everything is too poncey and that Melissa is middle of the road so therefore we need something more basic. Do you know any Melissas? What are their brothers called and do you know middle names because we need help with that too.

Elcs on Monday by the way and I want a decision by the weekend. I know I have time but I don't like the idea of him not having a name and I'm worried we're going to end up arguing while I'm in recovery!

Actually that's a massive help!

My two ultimate choices he says are too Greek. We're not Greek but have a very strong connection.

The names on your list there were all on my longer list except Martin and Richard so I think you have helped me prove my point!

Melissa in her 20's has brother Jonathon (but mostly known as Jon now)

Sophs list is good and is a mixture of my list and dh's list too. With a few extras we hadn't considered although we're trying not to go too biblical.

Interesting about James. I thought it was a bit dull to go with Melissa.

He's been canvassing friends and family yesterday and they apparently all like my original suggestions even though those names haven't been mentioned here so he's even more confused.

I like Hugo for a middle name.
