Leap day/ February/ Sun names

Our baby girl is very likely to be born on leap day. We are looking for a middle name that has some significance either to this day or related to February or the fact that leap day is sun related. As its a middle name, we're willing to be quite creative so all suggestions are welcome (draw the line at Frog though!)

Please help us come up with something!

Oh sorry, just saw you said girl

I love Seren but can't use it. Astrid doesn't flow great with our first name. Keep them coming though!

Julia (for Julius Caeser)
Romana

Sophronia · 05/02/2016 12:07

Tesni (Welsh, means "warmth from the sun")
Marisol
Solveig
Soleil
Sunniva (Norwegian, means "sun gift")
Sunny
Julia / Juliet (Julius Caesar introduced the leap year)
Auguste - name day is 29th of Feb

Delta - Greek for 'four' and Leap Days are every 4 years

BlueChampagne · 05/02/2016 12:52

Olympia - ditto every 4 years
Julyan
Valerie/Valentina

Delta is the 4th letter of the Greek alphabet, but I've never known it used for 4 (willing to be corrected). Four is tessera - NN Tess?

The first name we've chosen is pretty unusual (8 born in 2014 according to ONS) but sounds similar to Ella. I think it rules out other 'a' or 'er' ending names.

We like Robyn, Juno, Margot but none hold any significance or meaning - hence looking for something relating to leap year. It's just harder than I thought to find a name we like with a connection. Thanks for suggestions so far though!

We have come up with many Leapified names. Some are a bit, well, you'll see. Some are quite cute.

And in case you do have that little Leapling, we have a Parents Page: www.leapyearday.com/content/parents-page

Anyone can be born in a Leap Year. We were born on Leap Year Day.
But, it's not only our birth day, it's everyone's extra day! Do something good with it.
