Sibling for Morgan

I'm starting to get really stressed because I'm 38.5 weeks and we still have barely any boys names on our shortlist! We tend to discount names because:

  • They are too popular, we have a very common surname
  • We don't like 'old man' names, so no Stanley, Albert etc
  • They sound too American and/or made up to our ears, so no Kai, Braydon, Cole etc

So basically nothing old but nothing modern!!! Arrgh!!!

Our son is called Morgan which seemed to tiptoe the middle ground nicely. Names I like but which we discount for being too popular include Dylan, Theo, Noah, Jacob.

Please help me!!

Oh, Conrad is about the closest we've come to the kind of name we want, and yet something about it doesn't grab my heart and I'd really like to love the name!

My cousin has a Morgan with brothers Carl and Marcus.

I think a single syllable name would work really well, if it's two then ending in "-en" is a bit of a mouthful (eg Morgan and Nathan)

Of the above I do for some reason like Jude. It's so unlike Morgan but yet has the same minor ambiguity to it.

I'm extremely biased (outs herself) but Conrad is a fantastic name Grin. And it goes well with Morgan IMO if that's a concern.

Some good ideas, thanks all! Quite a few of the suggestions have been used already by close friends / family and we are quite envious they got there first!

I know a Morgan with a brother called Finley. Leo would go too, not as popular as Theo.
