I only like James and Owen from your list, but I think we have different taste. If you and your partner love one of the others you should go for it (and don't tell anyone until he arrives!).

Love Henry!

  • Maxwell - I like, but I love Max! So simple, but lovely
  • Jude - it's okay...
  • Harley - not keen, sorry!
  • Hartley - not keen Blush
  • James - I really like this!
  • Riley - really like it :) (I know that it isn't liked on here...)
  • Ronnie - hate this! Sorry
  • Hudson - dislike...
  • Lennon - don't like Confused
  • Dexter - it's okay!
  • Franklin - I'm between okay/not keen...
  • Harrison - I like, but do prefer Harry
  • Preston - not a fan
  • Owen - I like...
  • Harlen - don't like!

Good luck and congratulations! x

Lots of surname names, which are not really my style.

I don't think siblings names really all have to be of a type but James goes very well with Henry as such a similar name.

themumfairy · 03/02/2016 16:57

Love Lennon. Ds2 has one in his class and they shorten it to Len which is so cute

How about Toby?

Lissie1201 · 03/02/2016 17:20

I also think Henry and James go lovely :)

Other suggestions:

  • Aidan
  • Elliot
  • George
  • Jacob
  • Oliver
IoraRua · 03/02/2016 17:23

Owen and Franklin are nice.
Not loving the others.

stillsingingintherain · 03/02/2016 17:31

I really dislike surname first names so not keen on most of your list. I really like Owen (although would spell it Eoin) and James is fine too. How about Frank if you like Franklin?

StDogolphin · 03/02/2016 19:26

Owen James!

sugarplumfairy28 · 03/02/2016 19:36

Personally I think James, Harrison and Owen are all rather boring, samey and common - sorry.

Maxwell, Jude, Riley, Ronnie and Harlen are all maybe a bit 'Essex'. (No offense, although I did live there)
So for me I'd choose from, although I do have a cat called Lennon.
Harley
Hartley
Hudson
Lennon
Dexter
Franklin
Preston

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 03/02/2016 19:43

Don't like Maxwell, but quite like Max
Love Jude
Harley Chavvy
Hartley. Pretty more suited to a girl IMO.
James. Is lovely and very classy. You can't fault it.

Ronnie. Cute
Riley Chavvy
Hudson. No too harsh sounding
Lennon. Gorgeous.
Dexter Gorgeous
I like Frankie but not Franklin.
Harrison. No
Preston. It's okay
Owen. Okay but a bit Meh, but quite unheard of now
Harlen. No

tinofbiscuits · 03/02/2016 20:05

I like James and Owen, and Jude is OK.

Most of the others are too surnamey for me, and Ronnie reminds me of the two Ronnies.

Shadow1986 · 03/02/2016 21:33

Thank you you're helping me narrow the list down.and taking off quite a few names I was feeling meh about anyway.

Henry and James

Monkeymonstermum · 04/02/2016 15:31

James or Owen (agree with the comment above though re consider Eoin spelling).
Afraid I really dislike Lennon (bit try hard and not into surnames) - and although I like Harrison if you already have a Henry (love, love love)!! then I think that would be a bit strange as a combination as would get shortened to Harry by some (eg school friends) and Harry is a nn for Henry (think Prince Harry is actually Henry).
Not at all keen on the rest I'm afraid (but I like traditional names).
Good luck choosing. X

CakeRattleandRoll · 04/02/2016 16:11

My favourite is Owen.

Agree with PP that Henry and Harrison would be a little odd. Also Henry and James makes me think of Henry James the author.

pilates · 04/02/2016 16:25

Henry and James
Quite like Dexter
How about Jacob, Ethan and Jack?

autumnmoon · 05/02/2016 12:10

Maxwell - very nice
Jude - love
Harley - ok
Hart ley - sweet as a nickname
James - ok, like Jamie a lot
Riley - nope
Ronnie - love this
Hudson - a surname
Lennon - quite cool even though also a surname
Dexter - nope
Franklin - love Frank, prefer Francis to Franklin
Harrison - ok
Preston - nope
Owen - ok
Harlen - nope

Tiggeryoubastard · 05/02/2016 12:25

The only ones that are in the same ballpark as Henry are Owen and James. Most of the others are bloody hideous.

Pipilangstrumpf · 05/02/2016 12:27

I think we have different tastes in names but I think most or your names would be fine normal names and none of them are overused/too trendy.

If I had to choose, I'd probably go for Jude, Dexter or Lennon.
