Which name do you prefer for baby boy, Renzo, Archer or Weston?

How about Ben, James or William?

Kingfisherfree · 30/01/2016 23:42

OK what about Bob?

dangerrabbit · 30/01/2016 23:45

I quite like surnames as first names and think all of these are ok but I think it depends what your own surname is as to whether any of them would work.

magpie17 · 30/01/2016 23:47

Are these real names? Hmm

duckduckquack · 30/01/2016 23:50

I think Renzo is cool though I seem to be in the minority. Weston makes me think of a chain of hotels and it would be shortened to what, westy? Like a dog? Archer is ok but Renzo gets my vote Smile

Floggingmolly · 30/01/2016 23:52

Not for real people, magpie. They're brand names for commercial products.

sugarplumfairy28 · 31/01/2016 08:38

Archer is a lovely name, on our short list.

Sofiria · 31/01/2016 10:51

I agree with the suggestions of Enzo or Lorenzo. Don't like any of your original choices, sorry!

stiffstink · 31/01/2016 11:14

Weston was the middle name of one of the twins from Bros

Thetruthfairy · 31/01/2016 16:01

Isn't Weston an old English name?
I like Archer x

FuckedUpFanjo · 31/01/2016 16:30

Weston - dreary grey hometown
Renzo- short for Lorenzo OK
Archer - like but don't like Archie

BackforGood · 31/01/2016 17:11

fraid I'm with almost everyone else.
Give the boy an actual first name would be my opinion.

slebmum1 · 31/01/2016 17:15

Dog names?

TheChimpParadox · 31/01/2016 17:24

None - for a minute I thought this was a thread in the Doghouse.

Sorry OP

PersisFord · 31/01/2016 18:50

PMSL at WileHalion

Pipistrella · 31/01/2016 19:04

There's always Benzo. Smile

Seriously, I think Archer is, hmm, reasonably OK though not my cup of tea, but the others are sadly terrible.

TwistInMySobriety · 02/02/2016 17:15

Not for real people

Yeah, those foreigners with their stupid made-up names, what are they like eh? Hmm

Bathsheba · 02/02/2016 18:12

My Dad's best friend for a million years is called Renzo so I am drawn to it

Sunshine511 · 02/02/2016 18:39

I really dislike Weston and Renzo. I think Archer is reasonable and has had some positive feedback on other threads on here. I think the fact it's been thrown in with Weston and Renzo is causing some people to be more brutal about the name Archer than they may have otherwise been. It's not really my cup of tea but I've met a couple and have never thought it was an awful name x

WannaBeAMummy16 · 02/02/2016 19:26

I like Weston.

Paintedhandprints · 02/02/2016 19:33

Ah Renzo (Piano, the famous italian ).
Sorry, your ds will never amount to anything being lumbered with that name. Certainly not become a high court judge or a famous italian architect. Deary me.
(insert sarcastic emoticon).
Archer is a nice name too.
I'm not keen on Weston (super mare). Sorry.

Alisvolatpropiis · 03/02/2016 00:46

I think Enzo is nicer than Renzo.

Archer is alright

Weston is a big no.

NadiaWadia · 03/02/2016 17:23

None of the above.

TheoriginalLEM · 03/02/2016 17:45

sorry, but Renzo sounds made up, Archer? Depends how pretentious you want to appear i suppose.

Weston? If i were spiteful i'd be calling him Super Mare.

SEriousl, what is wrong with James, David, Edward? You know, actual names?

you really REALLY don't have to be creative with your children's names, in fact, its better if you;re not

ItchyArmpits · 03/02/2016 17:53

If I saw the name Renzo on the register I would pronounce it Henzo, praying you had named him after a prominent Brazilian jiujitsu practitioner (please, please let that be the case!)
If you would like your son to have an unusual name, call him Dave. He'll be the only one in his class.
