Twin boys are 2 weeks and still no name - I have so much going on and really need to get this out of the way.

Congratulations!
I love Elliott and James, they're all lovely names though

My son born 5 weeks ago is called James! It's his dad and grandads name. Go for it Wink

Angelik · 30/01/2016 21:02

elliot and henry lept out at me (though I have a henry so slightly biasedSmile)

PufflesMC · 30/01/2016 21:02

I love James, so great for a first name - I only hear it as a middle name :) might have to be for one of my little guys.

Think we have similar taste in names, I had a lot of those on shortlist. All i'd day with twins (I have b/g ones) is you need a one syllable nickname as you will be calling them 'Bill and Ben' type of thing very often. It also helps trip off the tongue I'd they alliterate. (my twins ' names start with M + J, but nicknames both with a w, which near no resemblance to their real names. I wish I'd known this in advance!). So I'd go for Jim and Lou. Elliot is definitely too long for a twin name! You've also got Oliver (Ol), Jude, Ben, Jon, Geoff. I'd go for Jim and Geoff as different initiators but same did for yelling in playground or on school run.

Henry and James

MerryMarigold · 30/01/2016 21:13

Oh my gosh. Too many errors there!!! Hope you got the gist.

MerryMarigold · 30/01/2016 21:14

Different initials but same sound. Very important in my opinion for twins!!

PufflesMC · 30/01/2016 21:14

Love Oliver! It's DS1's name :) thanks for the tip! I'll take that into mind... I'm liking James and George

Oh, and my twin aren't at all twinsy, different classes etc. but the reality is that you say the names together ALOT, loads more than other siblings so it be too much of a mouthful and make it as easy as possible on yourself. Imagine calling them together a lot!

SimonLeBonOnAndOn · 30/01/2016 21:19

Congratulations.
I like James and Henry together, but I like all the names you have chosen. All classic.

MerryMarigold · 30/01/2016 21:20

My ds1 is oliver. Ds2 is Jude but was nearly James. Don't personally like Henry, just find it a bit pompous, but that's my issue! James and George sound great together.

PufflesMC · 30/01/2016 21:27

DS likes Jacob and Lucas/Jake and Luke - which are nice?

James and Aidan sound good together.

How about James and Lucas?

Haffdonga · 30/01/2016 21:56

Just seen your other thread Puffles. Flowers for you all/

They are all lovely names and all could go well as a pair with any of the other four. What about choosing your favourite name of the 5 for one dt and your dh's fave name for the other, and then asking ds1 to choose their two middle names?

MyBigFatGreekYoghurt · 30/01/2016 22:01

Henry and James

NoncommittalToSparkleMotion · 30/01/2016 22:02

Jake and Luke are adorable.

Wishful80sMontage · 30/01/2016 22:04

Henry and James

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 30/01/2016 22:21

James and Elliot

Sophronia · 30/01/2016 22:29

James and Henry, Henry and Louis or James and Louis

tinofbiscuits · 30/01/2016 22:49

In order of preference

Aidan
Henry
James
Elliot
Louis

So I'd go for Aidan and Henry.

PufflesMC · 30/01/2016 22:50

Thanks all! :)

I know a set of twins called Aiden and Elliot :) But I prefer Elliot and Henry or Henry and Lucas.

Mclaren37 · 30/01/2016 22:52

Henry and Elliot definitely leap out as a lovely twin pair.

Riderontheswarm · 30/01/2016 22:53

James and Henry. Lovely!
