Booked in for elcs next week. Still no name. Ideally I want something strong but not overly common/used. Came across Jonas last night. Just wondered what the general opinion was.

I love it and haven't heard it apart from a 12 year old boy I know.

Jonas is a very strong name, well done! I also love the timing with the storm, feels like it was meant to be and a great story for your son. We're in the U.S and it's still going strong in NYC. I don't know how you are thinking of saying it but I'd pronounce it 'Yonas' as it's Danish?

I don't like it pronounced the other way (with a strong J )

I read it as Yo-nas too and wound assume there was some kind of Danish or German family link.
