A sibling for Rosalind

It's early days but I've been throwing names about with DH.

Girls names so far:

Alice
Tessa
Juliet
Sylvia
Isobel

Boys names:

Gregor
Robin (DH loves this but I worry Rosalind and Robin is a bit much)
Morgan
Glen/Glenn

Happy to get feedback and other suggestions, bonus points for traditional Scottish names!

I think your girls names are lovely, and would go for Juliet (runners up Alice and Isobel).

Not so sure about the boys, I agree with you Robin is too much. Glenn just has the wrong vibe to me. Morgan and Gregor OK.

Other boys names to consider: Alexander, Benedict, Rupert, Alastair, Andrew, Marcus, Hamish?

Absolutelyfabulously · 25/01/2016 13:56

Tessa is gorgeous. Also agree that Robin is too much, Benedict is a lovely suggestion above.

wombthereitis · 25/01/2016 13:58

I like Alastair and Alexander but unfortunately we can't use either of those for various reasons. I like Hamish too but worry it might be a bit much with our Mac surname.

Gregor is my favourite by a mile tbh, but DH is meh on it. I'm hoping to win him round eventually!

Girls names is much more open, I don't have a clear favourite yet.

Rosalind and Juliet both have the Shakespearean connection, which is nice. As well as both being lovely names, of course.

wombthereitis · 25/01/2016 14:00

Boys are so much harder to name! I quite like the idea of a Ben though.

I like Gregor and Morgan from your boys list. How about Magnus?

GoldPlatedBacon · 25/01/2016 14:59

I used to know sisters called Rosalind and Laura - always thought they worked well together.

BlueChampagne · 26/01/2016 13:24

Like Juliet or Sylvia for a girl

Also like Gregor - how about adding Anthony to the list?

cecilelliott · 26/01/2016 19:39

Love Tessa and Juliet

For boys, yes, Robin would sound odd in the pairing. Love Gregor and Morgan.

I vote Alice or Tessa. All your options are lovely though, good taste!

cbear000 · 29/01/2016 11:14

And Ben is great, simple, classic

Jemimapuddleduk · 29/01/2016 11:18

I adore Rosalind and that was on the list for our baby who ended up as an Arthur (brother to Iris).
I think Sylvia and Robin are my favourite (and were both on our list too!).

Jemimapuddleduk · 29/01/2016 11:21

Other names that may work:
Beatrix, Margot, Ethne, Edwin, Rowan, Wilbur.

Jemimapuddleduk · 29/01/2016 11:23

And Cordelia.
