is the name of Coleen and Wayne Rooney's new DS. I must admit I wasn't expecting that and really like their choice (though was, of course, expecting another "K* name).

It's nice. Good luck to them!

WingMirrorSpider · 24/01/2016 19:56

It's a lovely name. I'm not keen on the k theme but I suppose they'd already gone down that road with ds2.

OneMagnumisneverenough · 24/01/2016 19:57

I'm just imagining the scores of middle class MNers sadly crossing it off their list now it has been "ruined" :o :o :o

stiffstink · 24/01/2016 20:06

DH's first reaction was "football kit?!"

calzone · 24/01/2016 20:08

My friend had twins last week and called them Kit and Siena.

Bet she is gutted now.

dementedma · 24/01/2016 20:08

Nice. B t Joseph Kit would have been better

zippyswife · 24/01/2016 20:13

Yep magnum. I've just struck kit off the list!

Ham69 · 24/01/2016 20:17

That was my first thought onemagnum Grin I think Coleen comes across really well.

I'm not really a media watcher to be fair but they seem like a nice enough couple. I've no idea why people get so po-faced. They seem to be bringing up a nice family, the children seem well cared for and they've made the most of Wayne's windfall due to his football talent rather than blowing it on drugs, drink and fast living.

LovelyBranches · 24/01/2016 20:24

Congratulations to the family. Not a Wayne fan but Colleen seems like a lovely mother and I really like the name. Baby Kit is very cute.

I mentioned this to my husband earlier and he said looked puzzled and said, "Kit...as in bag?" Hmm

Sophronia · 24/01/2016 22:59

It's nice. Definitely prefer it to Klay!

HerbieRidesAgain · 24/01/2016 23:00

Nice enough name, not my choice but its my favourite of all 3 of their chosen names. Mind I wouldn't want to say all three names quickly Grin

EnriqueTheRingBearingLizard · 24/01/2016 23:06

Isn't Kit the traditional diminutive for Christopher?
I like it.

I really dislike Kai though and dislike Klay even more.

Pigeonpost · 24/01/2016 23:10

Kit is a fab name. I still don't understand Klay though. And why all K's anyway?

AmyC86 · 24/01/2016 23:26

Kit, not sure on the name tbh.

Agree with the fact that it'll be crossed off a lot of lists now as the popularity will increase, especially around the Northwest. Grin

Also agree that it's rather a mouthful to say all three together, Kai Klay & Kit especially with a scouse drawl.

Don't really understand the K theme but each to their own.

nooka · 24/01/2016 23:27

Kit is a nice shortening for Christopher. I don't like it as a stand alone name and I do think it's a bit of a surprising name for a sporty family as 'kit' is so commonly used as slang for sports equipment.

I really dislike the trend of calling all your children the same initial, and think that Klay is just awful. I'd be a bit uncomfortable about children with the initials KKK, so I hope they plan to have at least one more child.

nooka · 24/01/2016 23:28

Plus if you say the names together they seem to either turn into Kai, Kay, Kit or Kai, Klay, Klit. Which is a bit unfortunate Grin

neonrainbow · 24/01/2016 23:28

Kit isnt a proper name I've no idea why its so popular on here.

hownottofuckup · 24/01/2016 23:30

Joseph's a lovely name.

Pigeonpost · 25/01/2016 09:41

KKK!!! Holy shit. Surely someone would have pointed out the inappropriateness of that to them...

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 25/01/2016 09:46

Kit Joseph is lovely. Much better than his brothers names.

calzone · 25/01/2016 20:46

According to the news, they are being trolled for having KKK......
