Frank's brother

Hi, we absolutely love DS1 name, Frank. It suits him. It's cool. It's not common but not crazy either, plus there's some family history.

What on earth do we call baby 2 if he's a boy (not 20 weeks yet to find out). Any suggestions for our long list? Like Jamie (James?) and Patrick a lot. Suggestions welcome! Thank you.

Thank you, I like Albert but not sure it's sounds too matchy with Frank. Also love David and added to our list - DH less keen!

What were your grandfathers and great grandfathers called?

dementedma · 23/01/2016 08:24

Paul
Simon
Ian
Michael
Ralph

SummerMonths · 23/01/2016 08:25

I don't think Albert is matchup. It's good to have a name from the same era.

Hi! Do you mind me asking, is he just Frank or Franklin/Francis?
Frank is our top name if we have another DS. Some others from our list are:

Maxwell
Elliot
Ivan
Lucas
Gregory
Austin
Ivor
Marshall
Patrick
Nate
Archer
Ambrose
Spencer
Rex

BendydickCuminsnatch · 23/01/2016 08:39

Ooh, also Clark!! DH wouldn't go for it though.

Patrick is lovely and less popular than James.

Ralph
Ian
Euan
Bernard

He's just Frank - such a great name Bendy, we get comments all the time. I don't really like Francis, it's a totally different sound to Frank.

Grandfathers names are no good, great grandfathers are William (Bill) but that's Frank's middle name, Clifford, Eric and Kenneth! Not a fan of any of those tbh!

We've got Jamie, Samuel and Daniel on the list too. Added Albert as I think it's a grower.

Stanley/Stan is great

I know a Frank with a brother Arthur (Artie).

SummerMonths · 23/01/2016 09:06

Also like Rafe with Frank

Mrsindecision · 23/01/2016 09:13

Vincent/Vince/Vinnie

dementedma · 23/01/2016 09:25

I know brothers called Sid and Vinnie!

Babytalkobsession · 23/01/2016 09:29

Ooh like Sid! Just found out I had great grandfathers named Albert and David so liking either of those.

Love Stan but can't use and when I say 'Frank and Stan' I hear Franenstein Grin...my issue but I can't unhear it!

Frank and Sid would be seriously cool!

BendydickCuminsnatch · 23/01/2016 10:24

Baby I agree, Francis feels a bit wet to me! (Sorry to any Francises out there!)

BendydickCuminsnatch · 23/01/2016 10:26

Art? I personally don't like Arthur but think Art feels similar to Frank and Albert, which you've said you like. Re Albert I know a baby Bertie, can't decide whether I prefer Albie or Bertie!

thisisbloodyridiculous · 23/01/2016 10:50

I LOVE Patrick!

Natalie12288 · 23/01/2016 12:52

I really like Daniel, Patrick and Samuel :) I do think Paul goes really well!

InkleWinkle · 23/01/2016 12:55

Malcolm?

Holidayrash · 23/01/2016 12:57

Patrick nn Paddy. Paddy and Frank would be very cool.
