Eva or Maya? Also Xavier?

Love both names for a girl, and I just wanted to get some feedback because I can't pick between them and I don't know what we're having just yet, but Xavier has been mentioned for a boy, it does remind me of the X Men but I don't think it's that big of an issue, so would like to know if people like it

Eva and derivatives thereof are very popular. I think Maya is beautiful and not quite as popular.

I love Eva, Maya is ok. I know as many Maya's as Eva's where I am in north London so for me they are both similar popularity-wise.

Eva and Maya both are good names. Eva sounds better.

Much prefer Ava. Eva is EVIL to my ears.

Eva is lovely, but I think too common at the moment. How about something like Evangeline? She could have Eva as a nn but would have the longer version which is a bit more individual. Maya is lovely too x

Almost every single girl baby I've come across recently is called Eva/Ava/Evie/Eve/Eilidh (I'm in Scotland). I personally would avoid Eva for this reason and I also think it looks weird in writing for some reason but that's just me!

Maya is nice but I'm not sure how you pronounce it - May-a or My-a?

Xavier is not for me to be honest, I think it could work if you're quite posh though!

I never know if maya is pron may-a or mai-a and a friend who has a maya always has to correct people, including me! That would put me off.

I'd pronounce Maya as My-a and Xavier as Eck-Zay-Vee-Er, didn't think people would like it very much, so I'm pleasantly surprised

Xavier, I understand is pronounced Zav e ay, or possibly in some countries hav e ay - definitely not Exav e ay, you would be setting yourself and him up for a lifetime of ridicule, similar to people who pronounce Sian See-an and Siobhan See-ob-Han!
Other than that it is ok but I would find it a bit odd if you were not French.
Maya and Eva are both ok - Maya probably a bit less popular .

Zav-yay is how you say it if you're French. Hav-ee-air is how you say it if you're Spanish. Ecks-ay-vee-er is only for x-men, and I understand the English pronunciation is Zay-vee-er.

My oldest DS is Xavier and we pronounce it Zay-v-er. I love the name!!

I know a little Xavier that is called Xavi pronounced Zavi.

And definitely no ECK!
