After 36 weeks of trying to decide, we are going to call our little boy Henry.

Which full name would you go for?

Henry Jacob Long
Henry Reuben Long

Jacob and Reuben have been other favourite names. I think Jacob flows better after Henry, but would like option of him being able to use middle name in future if decided to/needed to and Jacob followed by Long sounds and reads oblong. Let me know what you would go for.

Thank you.

Henry is a lovely choice of name. I'd go for Henry Reuben Long.

I like Reuben best. (I have a Henry John.)

Sophronia · 17/01/2016 20:37

Henry Jacob Long

AuntieStella · 17/01/2016 20:37

I think Jacob.

The repeated 'r' sounds (ry/ru) between the other two just didn't flow so well.

Jacob

You're overthinking the oblong thing. I prefer Jacob.

Another vote for Reuben

Out of them both I'd have to Jacob. I have an irrational dislike of the name Reuben. Just the sound of it irritates me. could be due to the fact than when I was a kid. I knew some bitch whose last name was Reuben

Aceray · 17/01/2016 21:24

I prefer the name Reuben but I think Henry Jacob flows better.

Jacob!

Henry Jacob - fab name!

HerdOfRhino · 18/01/2016 15:48

I love both names individually, but I think Jacob sounds best when paired with Henry.
