It's not very popular at the moment which has drawn me to it more. What are people's opinions on this name?

I think it's gorgeous. But I think people will assume she's named after the singer, but that's certainly not a bad thing

JennyOnAPlate · 13/01/2016 13:56

There's an Adele in my dds year 3 class and I love it. I don't like the way it always seems to get shortened to Del though!

Sunshine511 · 13/01/2016 14:01

Love it, and a name I hadn't thought of yet myself so thank you!!x

Sophronia · 13/01/2016 15:04

Lovely. We considered it and also Adeline for DD.

MamaLazarou · 13/01/2016 17:07

Sorry you're unhappy with it, Sunbeam. Why not?

MitzyLeFrouf · 14/01/2016 15:18

There's also Edel which is very common in Ireland.

SuburbanRhonda · 14/01/2016 15:20

I think it looks nicer than it sounds. A Dell.

Adelina is lovely though.

Sunbeam1112 · 14/01/2016 16:14

Rookie i don't know really i suppose not many people do like their own names. I would loved to be called rachel or nicola lol

zippyswife · 14/01/2016 17:19

Adele and Edel are in my list. I like it. Uncommon but not try hard.

Alisvolatpropiis · 14/01/2016 17:21

I was about to say Adele is lovely and unusual without being wacky but clearly an owner of the name thinks otherwise! Blush

RookieMonster · 14/01/2016 18:10

See, I have a top 5 name that was in the top 5 for about a decade either side of my birth year. There are thousands upon thousands of other "Rookies" around. Although I like my name very much, it would have been nice to have been named something less common as a child and teen.
