Louiza or Eliza to go with Zara?

Absterchi · 12/01/2016 05:05

Our DD2 is 3 days old and has no name yet. Favourites at the moment are Louiza or Eliza which go quite well with DD1 name Zara Sofia.

What do you think? Louiza or Eliza

Others on short list which could serve as middle names are:
Hannah
Ava
Izzy
Louisa
Cate

Louisa like that.

Abraid2 · 12/01/2016 14:20

What is this 'theming' of names that seems to go on on MN?

Why do siblings' names have to match?

CremeEggThief · 12/01/2016 14:23

What about Hannah Eliza? Or Ava Louis?

CremeEggThief · 12/01/2016 14:23

Sorry, should be Louis.

CremeEggThief · 12/01/2016 14:24

LouisA!

villainousbroodmare · 12/01/2016 14:25

Whatever you do, not Louiza.

MyBootsAreMuddy · 12/01/2016 14:42

I like them both (Louisa with s not z) with Cate as middle name.

Gunting · 12/01/2016 15:22

Don't use Ava/Louisa as a middle name.

Zara Sofia and Louiza Ava - too much Z and A

ashesandfire · 12/01/2016 16:39

Louisa Cate. Unless you are insistent on the z spelling. In which case, Eliza Cate.

Sofiria · 12/01/2016 16:47

I like Louisa.

What about Ava Louise?

BeaufortBelle · 12/01/2016 16:50

Congratulations. Eliza and Louisa are both lovely.

Unoriginalusername123 · 12/01/2016 21:17

Eliza definitely, as you've misspelled Louisa.

BYOSnowman · 12/01/2016 21:20

I wouldn't go for a name with a z in it

And if you pick a name with 'za' at the end ensure you always refer to them Zara and ... Or the names run into each other too much the other way

I like Louisa

MrsDmitriTippensKrushnic · 12/01/2016 21:25

No fresh hell with Louiza-with-a-z as that's been my sister's hell for the last 40 years... I'm so used to it that Louisa-with-an-s looks really odd now

She's the only one we know though.

unicornthong · 13/01/2016 05:21

If you insist of spelling it wrong Louiza, then pick Eliza.

Louisa, however, is beautiful. It was my Nana's middle name and I've always adored it.

Holly34 · 13/01/2016 05:35

Zara WinkWink

SwedishEdith · 13/01/2016 14:02

Louiza Louisa

Laptop keeps correcting Louiza

pilates · 14/01/2016 09:21

Not keen on Louiza but like Louisa and Eliza is very nice.

CupcakesAndFizz · 14/01/2016 09:30

Louisa and Zara (Eliza is too close to Zara, and Louiza will relegate her to having to spell out the unusual spelling the whole time - stick with the classic version, more lovely anyway. Louiza sounds South American, imo).

kaymondo · 14/01/2016 12:34

I'd go for Eliza, mainly because whilst Louisa (with s not z!) is a gorgeous name, it inevitably gets shortened to Lou, which I really don't like!

ifgrandmahadawilly · 14/01/2016 12:35

Eliza.

Louiza is truly grim spelled that way, I'm afraid.

Borninthe60s · 19/01/2016 19:38

Eliza. As if spell Louisa like that.

PooDogMillionaire · 20/01/2016 16:05

Eliza, love it, very Victorian chic.

paperdreams94 · 20/01/2016 22:59

Zara and Eliza sound too similar, I think.

Louisa is gorgeous, but only with an S.
