Is Mason chavvy?

It is growing on me more and more, but this pregnancy I have found myself liking and genuinely considering bizarre names and names that I know I have never liked. Essentially, I can't be trusted.

And I don't know if actually it's because I had a weird pregnancy-hormone induced kind of crush on that dreadful Mason Noise character off xfactor this year.

I'm having a boy in 3 weeks and we 'think' we are going with the name Louie James.

I love Louie.

But then, continuing with the kerayzeeeee hormoney thing, I really fancy the name Whitaker as a mn. Louie Whitaker Surname?

Louie Mason?

Louie Mason Nooiiizzeeee??!

I'd steer clear, if only because of the Kardashian konnection.

Madbengalmum · 04/01/2016 20:56

Yup it is

WaitrosePigeon · 04/01/2016 20:56

Sorry, it's really not nice imo.

doitanyways · 04/01/2016 20:57

Well, I prefer Louie James, but it's a middle name when all is said and done.

Pinklily1 · 04/01/2016 20:57

Louie James is lovely. Mason is...er... not so lovely Hmm. Although my first thought was also Mason Noise Grin

MooneyWormtailPadfootProngs · 04/01/2016 20:57

It's awful

Casmama · 04/01/2016 20:57

I like Louie James the most so would stick with that.
I am a bit biased against Mason though as had a teacher with that name who was a right cow Grin. Enjoy your baby when he arrives whatever you call him.

Oooookkkaaaayyyy that was the metaphorical slap of sense round the chops that I needed salutes thanks!

Yes and awful

xmasseason · 05/01/2016 08:56

I like Mason, and it makes a refreshing change from James as a middle name.

Zhabr · 05/01/2016 11:36

I know two Masons, and they are what you have in the title OP.

mrsschu · 05/01/2016 11:51

Not sure if it's chavvy but it's pretty awful (as are the majority of surnames as first names IMO, just my personal opinion!). It will date really quickly also.

Issie339 · 05/01/2016 12:12

Yes a little bit chavvy, sorry! Ok as a middle name though. Your other names are lovely.

ladamanera · 05/01/2016 12:46

Louis with nn Louie? Or Louie? he may have to spend a lot of time correcting spelling if the latter.

KatOnATinRo0f · 05/01/2016 18:59

I like Louie James... Also weirdly like Louie Whittaker...
Mason...no

mydogeatsnutstoo · 05/01/2016 21:43

I would say yes it is. Louis James is lovely, or Louie I guess though prefer Louis personally.

Meg3112 · 05/01/2016 21:46

I like Louie Mason... Louie James is quite common (there's so many people with the MN James)
