Me and hubby was torn between Daisy and Florence. We loved Penelope with nick name as nelly, but I have a cousin called penny which I new it would get shortened to, also both parents hated them name even tho not their decision still had an influence. Both gorgeous but biased with the Daisy :-) probably didn't help you haha but thought I'd say my bit

Penelope. It's cute but more mature than Daisy. We are also considering Penelope for our DD due in Feb... So no bias what so ever Grin

I have a 5 year old Penny (fn Penelope). Very happy with her name. :)

ScarlettDarling · 31/12/2015 15:01

Much prefer Daisy. Penelope just reminds me of Penelope Keith, although Penny is cute.

MajesticSeaFlapFlap · 31/12/2015 15:13

Penelope is gorgeous

AnnaMarlowe · 31/12/2015 15:17

Penelope, definitely.

Sophronia · 31/12/2015 16:10

Penelope

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 31/12/2015 16:14

Daisy.

Love Daisy, dislike Penelope.

CormoranStrike · 31/12/2015 16:28

Penelope is lovey

CormoranStrike · 31/12/2015 16:29

*lovey

Daisy is a bit twee

CormoranStrike · 31/12/2015 16:29

Arghhhhh lovely

aoife24 · 31/12/2015 16:47

Daisy is cute for a baby and young girl but Penelope will carry her through life with elegance and panache.

soundsystem · 31/12/2015 18:01

Penelope, definitely. As others have said, it's a name for her whole life, not just childhood. I like Daisy as a nn but a bit unsubstantial on its own perhaps?

mayaknew · 31/12/2015 19:53

OK I think we have settled on Penelope Grin finally with 4 weeks to spare Grin

Fab!

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/12/2015 20:19

I love Penelope. Penny is a lovely shortening. But also love penny-lope.

Reminds me of 'Just Good Friends' for those of a similar vintage.

SpecialistSnowflake · 31/12/2015 21:05

Good choice!

raisin3cookies · 31/12/2015 21:05

I loved the option of Nell as a NN, but dh wanted Penny.
