Hi

Haven't posted on here since I had dc1 and asked for help finding a name. We went with Rory Michael and love his name so much that we are really struggling this time round.

Names we do like are...

Freya, Eilidh, Abbie (but dh isn't keen on Abigail)

Finlay (but not sure about which spelling), Fraser

Potential middle names would be Louise or James but they aren't set in stone.

What do you all think? Any other suggestions?

Ps we aren't Scottish but live in Scotland hence going for Scottish but not too Scottish!

Thanks in advance! Smile

myother I think Craig is a fab name - in fact my DB is Craig and I'm Fiona, both good Scottish names, but we are both East Coast of Scotland locals.

I do know a boy called Cairn, but nobody gets him name first time, they always hear it as Keiran instead so he has to spell it out, which is a shame since it's a fairly simple name.

Niamh, Erin, Mirren, Iona, Isla, Kirsty, Eilidh, Heather, Bonnie, Skye,

Where we lived when DS2 was born (Midlothian) it was pronounced more like Kay rin. which sounded decidedly girly so we scrapped it. We ended up going for Ciar. I wanted Keir or Kerr, DH wanted Ciaran which fits your experience with Cairn and brings it full circle :) DH also wanted Creag instead of Craig - he'd have wanted Beinn in your position probably.

I like Fiona too but Lorna is my current favourite but will never be used by me.

Have to support your DH with Duncan, it's a super name and will grow with your DS.

Also keen on Skene, Gavin, Jamie and Alister for boys.
Fiona, Blythe and Reona for girls.

logan, lewis and ross are lovely for a boy, but like fraser and Findlay . I think eilidh is lovely too

For a boy, I love the name Keir.

Also Andrew is Scottish but not too Scottish (also the abbreviation Drew).

Eilidh, Shona, Morag

Murray, Ross, Finlay or Fraser

I've worked with a Duncan and he really suited his name.
