Please help! We still have no boys name. I'm starting to feel really upset as DH and I just can't seem to pick something we both love. We have chosen Esme for a baby girl and both feel excited about it as it feels 'right' . Boys names we have noted just now but none seem perfect :(

Harrison
Hugo
George
Oscar
Benjamin
Leo
Hunter
Innes

My usual suggestions - Austin and Quentin

What about Miles? You can shorten to Milo, but doesn't have to be an adult stuck with a pets name/brand of drinking chocolate....

We had very similar names in our list for ds1. We had Harrison, Hugo, Henry, Theo and Oscar but in the end we went for Julian. I love the name Julian as I'm a teacher and have never taught any other Julians. Also my ds occasionally gets shortened to Jules which I like too. : )

Don't rule out every name that any friend or family member has used, if you love it.

Luca or Lucas or Ivo

I know an Esme with a brother Jonah and an Esme with a brother Sam. Do these appeal?

Out of your suggested names, I think George is a classic; Innes is nice and unusual and I like Oscar, but there are so many around!

KLG3101 · 27/12/2015 15:47

Thank you all so much for replying and of course for your suggestions, you are so kind! Gutted I can't use Hugo or Oscar, DH point blank refuses and I want us both to love the name. He agrees to Harrison although prefers Harris. And loves Innes and George. I am just scared they are too old fashioned but I'll need to pick one!!

I know a young Innes. It's a brilliant underused name.

Avadaa · 27/12/2015 20:47

our baby is due in 3 weeks and we are naming him Caleb! Hope you find a name soon, took us a while to decide too Grin

Hoolit · 27/12/2015 20:49

I came on to suggest Innes, it's lovely and Nathan which we used Smile which I decided I liked the second time it was suggested and I still love it 14 years later!

KLG3101 · 28/12/2015 00:32

Innes is DH pick and his favourite along with Harris / Harrison. I think I prefer Harrison I don't know if I can imagine a baby called Innes?

He'll only be a baby for such a short time anyway but I can imagine a baby Innes, I know one in his teens now. He has a friend Harris. The rest of the group also has a Torin, Gregor, Keir, Craig and Calvin.

ExBallerina · 28/12/2015 00:59

The Esme I know has a brother named Edwin.

CormoranStrike · 28/12/2015 08:10

Nines is very nice, and as a PP said Torin is lovely.

CormoranStrike · 28/12/2015 08:10

Innes

SummerMonths · 28/12/2015 08:23

I like Innes. I also like Ivor, Isaac and Inigo.

If you like Ezra do you like Elias? It's a fab name.

Arthur nn Artie?

I am not keen on Harrison myself but probably just because of a thuggish little boy in DH's nursery.
