Need your opinion - do you prefer Felicity or Rose (Rosie) as a first name. We have the middle name chosen as it's a family name.
Thank you!
Stephanie

I'm a Rose and have always loved it! My grandparents and close family call me Rosie which I also like. Both nice names even if I am biased! Smile

Rose - Rosie is lovely

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 16/12/2015 23:38

I'd go for Rose. It's much more elegant than Felicity, while very sweet and girly. It sounds like a fairy from a children's story book.
Rosie is will look cute on her name peg but yet Rose will sound powerful and sophisticated in the boardroom. Plus Rose is tedious as a middle name but strangly practically unheard of a first name.

SuburbanRhonda · 16/12/2015 23:40

Rose, definitely.

Rosie has been absolutely done to death and I'd be amazed if people were still choosing it as a name.

grumpysquash2 · 16/12/2015 23:40

I love both Rose and Rosie

Sophronia · 16/12/2015 23:46

Rose is lovely as a first name.

I knew a Rosie who later became a rose and another that still goes by Rosie in her twenties. Felicity is my first choice for my daughter (one day!) :)
Good luck :) x

Rose

turdfairynomore · 17/12/2015 03:33

A lone voice for felicity! DS would have been this had he been a girl. That's 18 years ago and I still love it!

MitzyLeFrouf · 17/12/2015 13:17

I love Rose, it's a simple and elegant name. I really dislike Rosie though.

ashesandfire · 17/12/2015 13:28

I love Felicity :)such a lovely sounding name. It's on my list if I'm ever lucky enough to have another. I do love Rose as well though! But felicity is a bit more unusual and I love Fliss or Flissy as nn. Whereas there are lots of Rosies around.

ClaireFraser · 17/12/2015 14:42

DD (6m) is Felicity and I , obviously, love the name!

It's elegant, not overly used, has nice nicknames (Fliss, Flissie, Lissie, Flick, Tissie) and timeless. We've had so many people comment on what a beautiful name it is.

Felicity Rose XXX (your chosen middle name) could be lovely, ie. have two middle names.

Rose is also a beautiful name, very popular but popular for the reason it's so pretty. Also have Rosalie, Rosamund, Rosemary as other longer 'versions' of Rose.

I love both. (makes a change from threads where I like neither!)
