I like Albie and Arlo. Thinking of having William as the second name so Albie-William Arlo-William. Just would like a few more that I like. His last name will be Turner Grin

Can't use Elliott as my friends son is called that and we see him all the time.

Love Albie , had it on our final shortlist.
The only thing that put me off it was the similarity to Aldi supermarket name but I do love it.

Ellis

Do you like Alban? I also like Eldon and Alder.

Love arlo, are you an arlo Guthrie fan?

I would agree with naming baby the full name of Albert on the birth certificate so he has the choice when he is older to convert to Albert, Al, Bert.

Albert William Turner sounds lovely. Good, strong noble name. Albie is very cute but agree come adult years (jobs etc.) he might want the choice.

The racist dragon thing doesn't put me off, it's so old now and in generation they wouldn't even have heard of it - i never actually heard of it myself.
I don't like Albert, I think if when he was older he wanted to shorten it to Al he could, but I think Albie is pretty well rounded for all ages. He could even say his name was Albert if he liked

Alban im not sure on, eldon is nice but sounds a little too fantasy for me. I haven't heard of Arlo gunthrie haha! I just found the name on a baby name list, but it was right at the bottom!
I'm so stuck any suggestions are welcome, I know I've got a while till April but it would be nice to have more than one definite name, just in case

If you don't like Albert, don't choose Albie because everyone will assume it's Albert (and may even address letters etc like that).

Others with a similar sound/feel:
Bailey
Bradley
Austin
Anton
Brodie
Leon
Flynn
Ashton

I agree that most people will think Albie is short for Albert.

Arlo is the good dinosaur in the new pixar film.
