Elowen or Elowyn

After a lot of angst we have decided on Elowen but not sure whether to spell it Elowen or Elowyn I like the latter but someone said its a character in some fantasy novel :(

Elowen. -wyn on the end of names in the Brythonic languages like Welsh and Cornish denotes a masculine name.

Which is why Bronwyn is silly.
