I know people will say Gemma, because it's easier, but SIL is Gemma

100% Jemma a beautiful name!

KatieLouiseW · 05/12/2015 15:00

Yeah, I agree - I like it with the J Xmas Smile

My cousin is a Jemma, I think I prefer it this way.

IoraRua · 05/12/2015 15:12

Gemma imo.

IguanaTail · 05/12/2015 15:14

Jemma.

Funkymusic · 05/12/2015 15:18

I know one Jemma and a few Gemma. You cant help but think of people you know when you see a name and the one spelt with a J is much nicer.

Totally not relevant but i think Jemma seems less common.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 05/12/2015 15:20

Jemma

ClancyMoped · 05/12/2015 15:26

Jemma - lovely name BTW

celtictoast · 05/12/2015 16:48

Gemma (like the saint).

CharmingChampignon · 05/12/2015 17:51

I like Jemma more I think

westcoastnortherneragain · 05/12/2015 17:51

Jemma

enderwoman · 05/12/2015 17:57

G makes me think of my 70s/80s childhood. J is prettier.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 05/12/2015 18:45

Jemma

Youareyou · 05/12/2015 18:46

I'd say Gemma or Jemima ( not that you asked for options). I totally love Jemima.

AngelsWithFilthySouls · 05/12/2015 18:51

Gemma.

Vajazzler · 05/12/2015 19:01

If sil is Gemma then surely it doesn't really matter whether you spell it with a g or a j it's still the same name. If you like the name spell it with a g or she'll forever be correcting people on it. Have you considered Jenna?

FishWithABicycle · 05/12/2015 19:04

I have a colleague who is Jemma and it feels wrong every time I have to type it.

KatieLouiseW · 05/12/2015 19:19

My SIL is always asked if it is spelt with a G or a J, so it's pretty popular with a J

Jemma

celtictoast · 05/12/2015 21:06

Jemma makes me think it could be a nickname for Jemima, which I don't like.

LadyMaryofDownt0n · 05/12/2015 21:11

What about Jenna? Or are you naming dd after SIL?

KatieLouiseW · 05/12/2015 21:29

Nope, there just isn't ANY other name we can use/agree on

OP posts:
SaintEyning · 05/12/2015 21:30

G

LadyMaryofDownt0n · 05/12/2015 21:38

Ok then I think J is better.

thegoldenframe · 05/12/2015 22:04

Jemma would be my preference
