Sister for Matilda

Which of these two names would go best as a sister for Matilda, the options are:

Amelia or Darcey.

Which name do you feel sounds best with Matilda? Any other suggestions welcome. The name I have in mind if the baby is a boy is Oscar.

Amelia even though it is uber popular.

The reason I would choose it is I can't get past the fact that Darcey has 'arse' in the middle of it.

Thinking about it a bit more, I think Amelia has the same Victorian vibe as Matilda has and the names go together much better.

I like Madeline!

Amelia is extremely popular, but a gorgeous name! I'm not personally a fan of darcey and I think it sounds a little bit too current where as Matilda sounds quite classic (to me anyway). So if you don't mind the fact Amelia's very, very common in the UK, then that's the one I'd choose. Hope this helps x

Amelia - medical term for 'without limbs'

Although Amelia is still a nice name, if you ignore the meaning.

I don't like Amelia with Matlida, to many "ma" sounds. I think it would be hard to tell which name was being called from downstairs.

Not keen on Darcey either, although it does go better with Matilda.

I'd go for Sophie...but then I'm a Dahl fan.

Darcey is this generation's Tracy.

I like Harriet. Does Matilda's names get shortened at all. Like to Mattie or Tilly? Lots of people have suggested 3 or 4 syllable names to match up with Matilda's 3 syllables. But you could go for something short to contrast.
