Elowen, Lowenna or Lowen

We want a Cornish name preferably due to connections but also because in my head she will be an outdoors surfing type (she will probably end up like me with her head in a book though)

Elowen or Lowen. Not that keen on Lowenna.

Have only heard of Elowen and not the others. The family are Cornish too. Wasn't sure at first but I quite like it.

Lowenna is also good and obviously could be shortened to Lowen, well either could really.

They are quite unusual (and simlr) so you'd probably end up spelling it out all the time anyway!

Love Elowen.

Have you considered Morwenna? Sounds similar, is Cornish and means sea maiden or sea wave, so fits with your surfer girl image!

Maevetherave1980 · 05/12/2015 10:52

I did, vetoed by DH not sure why when it sounds quite like Lowenna but he wasn't keen

Love Elowen and Lowenna. Also Rosenwyn, don't know if you would consider that.

Maevetherave1980 · 06/12/2015 00:06

Funnily enough it's Rozenwyn that keeps going through my head but didn't know if too much of a mouthful

Lowenna. I've never come across it before, but it's very pretty!

Is Elowen pronounced ELL-ow-en or El-LOW-en?

HippyPottyMouth · 06/12/2015 19:25

Elowen.

Maevetherave1980 · 06/12/2015 19:31

I pronounce it El-LOW-en
