How would you spell may for a middle name??? First name either Chloe or Jessica

Bluesicles · 04/12/2015 15:59

I would go with May Smile

Sophronia · 04/12/2015 16:33

Jessica May

celtictoast · 04/12/2015 18:51

Chloe May

IoraRua · 04/12/2015 19:17

May. Definitely May.

lljkk · 04/12/2015 19:18

Mae after Mae West. I'm a huge fan. Without a moment's hesitation.

SoWhite · 04/12/2015 19:19

May.

'ae' looks so jarring and weird.

IHaveBrilloHair · 04/12/2015 19:22

May, but it does translate as blah.

Jw35 · 04/12/2015 20:11

I prefer Mae

DickDewy · 04/12/2015 20:15

I'd spell it NOOOOOO

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 07/12/2015 05:50

May. But avoid if you can. It's so blah

Shutthatdoor · 07/12/2015 06:15

Mae

Stillwishihadabs · 07/12/2015 07:05

My dN has mai as a middle name.

theescripted · 07/12/2015 07:10

May.

But it just seems meaningless now - like Rose - SO overused it just seems like a filler name now.

ObsidianBlackbirdMcNight · 07/12/2015 07:39

Oh god mai- yes the other variant which pops up. Never Mai, please

WhyCantIuseTheNameIWant · 07/12/2015 08:06

May.
I think it looks nicer...

TheDowagerCuntess · 07/12/2015 08:11

Is there a particular reason you want to use it as a middle name, i.e. you're naming her after someone, or she was born in the month of May (I'm guessing not, or you'd be set on the spelling)?

Because otherwise, May/Mae is such a default, 'filler' middle name now, that I don't know why people bother with a middle name at all, if they're just going to plug May or Rose in there just for the sake it.

There are so many lovely girls names out there - simple, elegant one-syllable ones as well, if that's your bag - so why so many people default to these two is a mystery.

Our oldest daughter's middle name is Mae, it's a family name which has in the past has had both spellings. I prefer Mae as it looks better with her first name Smile

Nottodaythankyouorever · 07/12/2015 08:29

Same with my niece Durham

MamaLazarou · 07/12/2015 11:55

May

Dn has Mae as a nod to her roots.
