I prefer James, I have an Edward with a 1 syllable middle name too :)

James but I'm biased. It's my favourite name.

Alexander.

James seems to be suggested as a middle name all the time on here. Alexander is a bit different and goes well with Edward.

Alexander. James is the boy equivalent of Rose/Grace/May. I love James but it's a bit predictable in the middle. Plus, I do really like the sound of Edward Alexander. Two very strong names but they work well together.

My James has it as a first name. I think it's actually more unusual as a first name and although makes the top 10 every year, I know hardly any!

Edward James :)
