Just been watching Miracle on 34th Street and the young actress is named Mara Wilson.

I quite like it, although apparently it is Hebrew for 'bitter' Grin

I don't know any Mara's personally, is it quite a common name?

I like Elizabeth as a middle name.

Lovely name, though I don't like the meaning.

Elizabeth is beautiful too.

Pronounced Maaara? It looks like it would be Marra to me which means friend / sopporter in the north east

I like it, very soothing kind of sound. The Hebrew meaning isn't great but in Irish it means 'sea' or 'of the sea'.

Lots of schools and churches about called Réalt na Mara (Star of the Sea).
