Noah or Archie?

Hello :)
My first ever bundle of joy will be arriving very soon! I'm SO excited Grin
It's a little boy and Archie was definitely his name, for about a week - I really like it and DH really likes it! However, each day, I still think of the name Noah in my head - I LOVE the name, but DH isn't that keen, but says he would be happy for him to call that... What do I go for!? Middle name will be Matthew...

I prefer Archie.

hawkmcqueen · 18/11/2015 18:57

Archie definitely, Noah too faddy and soft imo. Congrats! Flowers

MrsLeighHalfpenny · 18/11/2015 19:04

Every other baby seems to be named Noah these days. On Mumsnet at least. I think it's a dreadful name

CurlsLDN · 18/11/2015 19:06

There are a lot of noah's around. I'd go with archie

MitzyLeFrouf · 18/11/2015 19:40

Noah may be a bit faddy right now but to me there are no boys names faddier than Archie and Alfie. They're everywhere.

Plus Archie is a bit naff really. Fine on a chubby toddler I suppose, but not a great name for an adult.

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/11/2015 19:42

Archie, much prefer it.

Sophronia · 18/11/2015 20:27

Noah Matthew

Itsallaboutme3 · 18/11/2015 20:30

Archie

Erimemushinteperem · 18/11/2015 20:32

Noah. I think Archie more ' of the moment'

needastrongone · 18/11/2015 20:34

Thanks Mitzy, DS1 has the name and is 16. Still suits him. Bloody long fad then....!

OP - folk loved the name when we called DS it, I still love it now, obviously Smile

needastrongone · 18/11/2015 20:35

Or maybe I way WAY ahead of fashion Grin

Penguito · 18/11/2015 20:37

I don't think Archie is a name only for a chubby toddler...I know a 60 year old Archie who suits his name perfectly! As well as a 5year old one. Go with Archie

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 18/11/2015 20:38

Is that Archie needastrongone? We know some very cool teens/20's Archie's it's a great name.

needastrongone · 18/11/2015 20:42

Yes it is! And thank you Penguito.

Sorry, appalling spelling in my last post, I didn't check it.

He has quite a traditional middle name, after DH's best mate, who sadly died at the age of 17. But that seems to work well.

I like Noah too though.

WhispersOfWickedness · 18/11/2015 20:42

I have a Noah and it's fairly rare round our neck of the woods, only met one other Smile

DramaAlpaca · 18/11/2015 22:02

Of the two, Archie.

DeepBlueLake · 18/11/2015 23:09

Noah, flows better with Matthew IMO.

Archie is still very nice as well.

FrostyRose · 19/11/2015 06:17

Archie Matthew was born this morning - 3:24 a.m. and weighs 7 lbs 4 oz :) I'm really happy I stuck with Archie! It's perfect for him - thank you for the comments x

Archies at our school tend to be very similar to Alfies and Tylers. - lots of them.

No Noahs at all.

IguanaTail · 19/11/2015 06:25

Congratulations!!! FlowersSmile

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 19/11/2015 06:50

Perfect, I love it. Congratulations OP.

Mydearchild · 19/11/2015 06:51

Not that many Noah's where I am. Don't like Archie at all. Go with Noah.
