If you were forced by a new, crazy law...

What word-name would you give your next dc?

I would choose

Girl -hope
Boy - rock (rocky as nn)

Rose and Mark

AuntieStella · 16/11/2015 08:31

Or Tarragon and Escherischia Grin

WishIWasWonderwoman · 16/11/2015 08:37

Maybe Atlas and Pearl.

The least worse that I could think of!

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 16/11/2015 08:44

I don't understand, aren't names words themselves?! There not numbers are they unless you call your children 123678 or symbols again I'm not sure I know many children called WinkGrinWineSmile how would you call the register or call them in after playing!

So any name would be a word, so anything. Eric is a word, so is Computer, so is billy-Bob (well that's two words but)!
Mark May be used as in a mark on something but it's not really something to do with the name.

I think the OP is referring to words in the dictionary ;)

NaughtToThreeSadOnions · 16/11/2015 08:56

That's not what they said though is it?! They just said word!
And many many of the words in the dictionary are alread names so why would we actually notice a difference?!
Mark
Hope
Paitace
Prudence
Pearl
Rose
India
Iris
Rock

Actually struggling with boys names.

AuntGertrude · 16/11/2015 09:04

BikeRunSki · 16/11/2015 09:16

My DC middle names are Peter and Hope anyway.

I agree, all names are a word in some language.

BirdintheWings · 16/11/2015 09:33

You mean words that are not necessarily proper nouns, so any of the flower names, colours, virtues and jewels would presumably still be OK?

I like this sort of game. Harder for boys than girls, but:

Robin or Rowan, maybe Ash (or Martin!)
Ruth, Sorrel, Rose or Clemency

StDogolphin · 16/11/2015 18:12

Temperance and Element

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 16/11/2015 20:04

Satchel - boy
Calypso - girl

TheComforter · 16/11/2015 21:44

Dusty - girl
Toast - boy

Clueing4looks · 16/11/2015 21:48

The ones I have:
Dd(12) would be siren as she is very loud!
Ds(10) would be chatty as he doesn't shut up.
Next one would be called huge mistake.
