On behalf of a friend...

Does everyone hate it?
Should it be with one 'n' or two?

Friend has had her heart set on it for soon-to-arrive DD, but has had a lot of negative 'Put on your red light' / 'Roxy and Ronnie Mitchell' comments.

I think its fab, but she is wobbling...

Thoughts?

Put on your red light was my first thought, yeah. I don't like it.

I'd spell it with 2 ns personally. But I don't know, depends on the traditional spelling.

I lurve Roxanne but worried re the above.

I would pronounce Roxana as Rox-arna

Roxanna as Rox-Anna

clarabellski · 09/11/2015 16:38

How's about rosanna?

SouthernShepherdess · 10/11/2015 09:44

Nothing wrong with it. Far worse names.

MrsCaecilius · 10/11/2015 10:55

Wife of Alexander the Great - brilliant name! Don't like Roxy very much though.

Rocksaneh

VulcanWoman · 10/11/2015 11:03

Roxanne, you don't have to put on the red light.

Etak15 · 10/11/2015 11:08

How about the Arabic version ruksanah - pronounced more or less the same though so maybe would get same kind of comments with the added hassle of incorrect spelling! - maybe cancel that suggestion!
