Alfie George or Romily Iris

Hi,

DH and I are discussing baby names and we like the two names above.

Middle names will definitely be George or Iris but we're just not 100% sure of the first names.

Boys names are likely to be tricky as due to DH job he comes into contact with lots of naughty boys.

Any suggestions?

I like Alfie (love the Shirley Hughes books) but I would give the full name.
Romily is nice. Have only ever heard it on MN.

Thank you for your comments Smile. It's quite difficult coming up with a name. I've loved the name Romily for a long time and I hope I get to use it one day!

Slight bias here but Romily Iris all the way - apart from anything else, Iris Murdoch is one of my favourite writers.
Not keen on Alfie though

Love the name Romilly.

Sorry, don't like Romily! Like Alfie, like Romy (although know it as a boys name)

QOD · 07/11/2015 21:53

Romilly is nice and unusual, Alfie is nice but incredibly popular. I'd avoid

NotMeNotYouNotAnyone · 08/11/2015 14:32

Alfie is currently very popular and your DH is likely to encounter a few.

Love your girl's name.
Not at all keen on Alfie. Far too popular. Alfred at a push. How about Wilfred?

Paperblank · 09/11/2015 19:50

Smile thank you again for your thoughts and suggestions - I love Dylan, Louis and Harriet.

DH has thrown Sophie into the mix so I can definitely add a few!
