what to call DD2?

So I'm pregnant with baby number 2. I don't know yet if I'm expecting a boy or a girl. I have a name selected for a boy, but nothing good for a girl!

Our first daughter is called Florence so it needs to sit well with that.

Our surname is Bullock - whatever we choose has to go with that too.

Any suggestions welcomed!

Call her Nancy. That's what I would call my dd if I had one. It's a lovely name. Feminine yet feisty.

Flossiesmummy · 06/11/2015 20:29

I like Nancy!

I think an 'earthy' surname like Bullock needs something feminine yet snappy.

DingleberryDip · 07/11/2015 00:46

Edie. She could be Edith officially and that would go with the Victorian feel of Florence.

Lucy goes well with surname and DD1s name I think. Or Emily.

christinarossetti · 07/11/2015 15:42

I know two sisters called Florence and Rose.

Flossiesmummy · 07/11/2015 20:30

@StDogolphin change one letter of Henrietta Bullock and you have

Henry Ate A Bollock

All kinds of nope! ShockShockGrin

Alice?

Ripeningapples · 07/11/2015 20:58

Emmeline is quite nice although reminds me of Ermintrude which with Florence is a bit Magic Roundabout.

The Henrietta thing made me laugh out loud Grin. It was very clever.

Alice is a perfect name but I am very very biased. I don't think it goes with Florence though; Flora possibly.

Back to Emmeline though; how about Christabel who was one of her daughters? That does go with Florence I think - oops may be too many b sounds for Bullock. The other daughter was Sylvia? Not sure about that - but I think Susannah goes?

StDogolphin · 08/11/2015 17:01

Ha! Yes! Grin

Christabel is lovely, as is Susannah. i think your right to go for something with several syllables.

I rather like Elizabeth and haven't seen it used for years. Do you like Josephine?
