Calon

A Welsh boy's name meaning 'Heart'.

I can't find anything wrong with it at the moment.
It's not a 'weird' name, it's not 'made up' and it spells as it sounds.

What do you think?

It's a bit like Callum isn't it, a name which I like. Calon is different, but not too out there.

Luciferbox · 26/10/2015 15:04

It reminds me of Calon Lan and that can only be a good thing.

ostrichneck · 26/10/2015 15:06

Yes it does doesn't it Willow - I hate the name Callum though? Is it very close to your ear?

great taste Lucifer

Love it! Does it rhyme with Talon? I really want a baby Cal.

Wishful80smontage · 26/10/2015 15:28

I know a Callan which I think looks nicer and is still unusual. Calon is a bit too like Colon I think to look at Iyswim.

Lunastarfish · 26/10/2015 16:21

How is it pronounced? (I may be being dim but you never know!). As pp said I first thought you wrote colon

ostrichneck · 26/10/2015 16:52

It does Bree - glad you love it! And i'm not one for shortening names but I like Cal!

Callan is a also nice on paper, but I really do think people will think I am saying Callam/Callum which I really don't like.

It's pronounced Cal-on.

Colon is a bit obscure for me but good to hear an objective

Far prefer Callum tbh.

BackforGood · 26/10/2015 23:14

I like it. and I dont often like names I've not heard before
As you say in the op, it's easy to pronounce, to spell and reminds me of calon lan which has got to be good

ktmummy1 · 27/10/2015 10:54

Keep saying it in my head a it sounds very like Callum, as if someone is mispronouncing Callum. It will sound like Cal-un as opposed to Cal-um
