  1. Initial reaction?
  2. Would it be shortened? And to what?
  3. Does it remind you of any other names?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

  1. A town.

And I think the name of a horse in a picture book I vaguely remember as a child.....

  1. Chez
  1. Not really, but it isn't my cup of tea.

Nice pet name.

Weird kid name.

YouBastardSockBalls · 26/10/2015 11:44

3. Does it remind you of any other names?

Fester. Uncle Fester.

Is your surname "Draws"?

CoodleMoodle · 26/10/2015 11:54

My Mum's cat is called Chester, so I can't see it as anything else!

He gets called Ches/Chez and Chessy/Chezzy, if that's any help...

ostrichneck · 26/10/2015 12:19

it's funny, I had never thought of the town until I had pressed send on this thread.

Chez is my fear. I hear Fizz on Corrie shouting Chezzzzzzzzzzz! Chezzznay!!!!! shudders

haha at draws. definitely not.

I absolutely loved this name when I first heard it.. now, it's being completely struck off.. DH will be devastated!

In sure a celeb has used that name. Davina McCall maybe or holly off daytime TV maybe.
I'm not a fan but it could be worse.

Erimemushinteperem · 26/10/2015 12:22

Just looked it up and yes they both did.
I've never heard it otherwise so for me it's a bit of a celeb name.

ostrichneck · 26/10/2015 12:24

Holly was where I heard it. Damn the celebs.

  1. A teddy bear or a dog - I know several canine Chesters. Then the town.
  2. Probably Chez.
  3. I'd put it the same category as eg Bertram, Ernest and Clarence - sort of 'clunky vintage.' It's cute in a pet, but I wouldn't use it for a child.
M4blues · 26/10/2015 14:46

To me, it's a cat's name.

FishOn · 26/10/2015 14:47

My cat's called Chester Grin

chrome100 · 26/10/2015 15:00

I know someone called Chester, although now I think about it I think it's his surname.

I do know a dog called Chester though

ktmummy1 · 26/10/2015 15:59
