Initials you are drawn to, or actively avoid

Is it just me, or do initials play a big part in the naming process for you?

I don't just mean carefulness to not spell something rude. I mean, I actively prefer or dislike names due to their starting letter.

For example, I love all girls names that begin with the letter V. I can't imagine having a DD with a name that begins with any other letter.

My boys list has more C and W names than any other initial.

For both genders, I sway towards middle names that start with vowels.

I tend to avoid the letters B, D, J, K and M.

None of these are steadfast rules, and I'd never sacrifice a name we loved because it doesn't fit my pattern, but they do seem to influence the names I like and dislike.

Does anybody else find this?

Not so much starting initials, but ds and dd both have names ending in 'un'

Along the lines of Ryan and Helen...

I decided against naming my child Simon Thomas Davies and thought it was best to avoid Adam Simon Davies.

I dont have any sway towards or away from a particular single letter though.

My children's initials are S, J and X. I don't know that I warm to those especially, I like loads of names with loads of different letters.

I generally don't like names beginning with E, K or W. Funny as my DD name is E. I think it's how it's written in particular that I have a problem with!
