Violet is lovely. It doesn't work with my surname otherwise I'd use it :)

I think Caitlyn is better spelt Caitlin or even Katelyn. Not as keen on Caitlyn.

I really like Evelyn but the pronunciation divide would put me off.

Violet. Not keen on Caitlyn in any format but I'd go with the traditional Caitlin if you wanted that. Evelyn is nice but ridiculously popular, (and I am not really sure it justifies its supreme popularity). Violet is pretty. Congratulations x

I don't like Caitlyn at all actually but Evelyn is great (family name for me) and Violet is nice too. Two Violets just popped up in DD's (small) nursery recently though so I think it's getting popular. I know a couple of Evie's but none using the full name Evelyn.

Evelyn as long as pronounced eve-Lynn and not ev-Lynn which sounds dull. (Not in personality in sound)

With Caitlyn at the moment all I see is Caitlyn Jenner, so all depends.
'Violet' I don't know why but seems to rhyme with 'violence' so I don't like it either.
I quite like 'Evelyn'. I went to school with an 'Evelyn' she was the prettiest girl in school, and had an ace personality to go with it.

Hundreds of girls named Evie" around at the moment. It is lovely though, depends whether you're bothered that it's a popular name. They may not be Evelyns (Genevieve, Eve, Evangeline).

Don't really like Caitlyn (regardless of spelling) and I don't know of any Violets. That's very pretty although less keen on "Vi" which she'll probably end up with from friends / in the playground.

P.s. I am a bit fixated with what names will be shortened to which may cloud my judgement!
