Giraffeseyelashes · 22/10/2015 13:04

Yes

LisbethSalandersLaptop · 22/10/2015 13:05

yes why would you even consider it?>

AnnaMarlowe · 22/10/2015 13:07

Stick in another middle name in between.

Lunastarfish · 22/10/2015 13:07

Yes. Could you add another Mn so say, Benjamin Thomas John Smith?

ThroughThickAndThin01 · 22/10/2015 13:10

No. Know two teenage boys with those initials. Absolutely not a problem for them.

However if you're worried stick another name in.

NotAMamaYet · 22/10/2015 13:11

Really? Cruel??

Only the immature would think it's cruel IMO

DriverSurpriseMe · 22/10/2015 13:13

I would avoid it.

YakTriangle · 22/10/2015 13:14

It's not that bad, but I would avoid it too.

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 22/10/2015 13:27

I would avoid. No one may bat an eye lid, but then again it could mean years of teasing. Why take the risk.

LisbethSalandersLaptop · 22/10/2015 13:29

" Only the immature would think it's cruel IMO "

try telling years 4 and 5 to be 'mature' about 'BJ' then notamamayet.
When you have had a child, come back and tell us all how 'immature' we are for wanting to avoid a kid having the piss ripped out of him.

monkeyfacegrace · 22/10/2015 13:29

BJ surname and NOBODY, literally nobody has ever mentioned it. In fact I didn't realise before this thread.

It's fine OP.

monkeyfacegrace · 22/10/2015 13:31

*I'm

Doublebubblebubble · 22/10/2015 13:33

I would avoid too

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 22/10/2015 13:37

Sorry Lisbeth but . If youre saying a 4 or 5 year old coukd be mocked with the initials BJ. Then I actually find it very concerning that a 4 or 5 year could even know what the initials BJ could potentially mean.
I mean there could be potential issues in the big school but surely not at 4 and 5 years old.

AbeSaidYes · 22/10/2015 13:40

no.

not at all.
My son is BJ surname. So far not one other child has commented (he's 5) and I would be surprised if they did, and only the most puerile people I know have ever commented about it. They are easy to ignore.

Etak15 · 22/10/2015 13:42

I was just about to say the same thing do yr 4 and 5 age kids know about blowjobs?
Teenagers and immature Keith Lemmon lovers like me will find it funny though - if I see a car reg bj I automatically think blowjob!

LisbethSalandersLaptop · 22/10/2015 13:42

Iliveinalighthouse - read my post more carefully. I said years 4 and 5, not age.

LisbethSalandersLaptop · 22/10/2015 13:43

Mind you these days who knows Grin

TheCraicDealer · 22/10/2015 13:47

Nah I wouldn't do it. Although people may not go so far as to actually pass comment most would think, "Mhmm, interesting choice...".

sauvignonblacks · 22/10/2015 13:51

I know of a BJ surname never been an issue for him

Iliveinalighthousewiththeghost · 22/10/2015 13:54

Oh I do apologize.

scribblegirl · 22/10/2015 13:54

Boris Johnson's initials are BJ, he seems to have done alright.

ignores question of whether you want your child to turn out like Boris Johnson

DriverSurpriseMe · 22/10/2015 15:11

Not strictly true, his full name is Alexander Boris de Pfeffel Johnson Grin

TaliZorah · 22/10/2015 15:43

Don't do it, I laugh when I see those initials together!

I was going to give DS the middle name "Thomas" but when I realised he'd be "John Thomas" had to reconsider...

Doublebubblebubble · 22/10/2015 16:11

tali I'm the same - ps love your username mass effect geek here!!
