We already have an Ivan Hugo and a Rowan Marcus, number three is also a boy, current thoughts are Seth, Caleb, Arlo, Idris or Jonah, likely Simon, Patrick or Christian as middle name. Any thoughts on these inc combinations with middle names? Or anything else that might work with our sib set?

I like your shortlist. From the first and middle name choices I'd say

Seth Patrick
Arlo Patrick
Arlo Christian
Arlo Simon
Idris Patrick
Jonah Simon
Jonah Patrick
Jonah Christian

... all sound fine Smile

If you were willing to include a first name choice as middle name, then

Idris Jonah
Seth Jonah
Caleb Simon
Arlo Caleb
Jonah Seth

Ivan, Rowan, and Sebastian?

Not sure about a middle name, though...

UntilTheCowsComeHome · 10/10/2015 15:49

Ivan, Rowan and Seth I reckon.

Seth Christian ...

AuntieStella · 10/10/2015 15:59

I wouldn't put the Biblical names with your other two (no particular reason, I just don't think they go together) so would choose Arlo or Idris.

I think Christian is the middle name that fits both those two the best, though really any if them would be fine (except the excessive 's'es if you put together Idris Simon).

I love Caleb! Congratulations on your baby whichever name you choose

Sophronia · 10/10/2015 18:44

Seth Patrick or Idris Patrick

Yika · 10/10/2015 21:42

I love the 4 names you already have.

I'd go with Seth or Caleb, they are more solid-sounding than the others, which sound a bit fanciful to me.

Themodernuriahheep · 10/10/2015 21:59

Like Caleb.

The other two are two syllables ending in n, and I think the n is the dominant.

Anything else is going to sound slightly odd, to stick out.

Not good at boys' names but I like Simon, goes really well with the other two as a first name. Simon Caleb. Also like Sebastian, Christian, and have you thought of Tristan, Adrian, Hadrian ? not so keen on Athelstan, Tamburlaine.

BathtimeFunkster · 10/10/2015 22:08

I was going to suggest Arlo just from the names in your title, so given that it's on your list, definitely Arlo Grin

helentheheron · 10/10/2015 22:57

Love your name taste! The only ones I'm not keen on are Arlo and Caleb (they sound a bit "trendy" to my ears). My favourites are Idris Patrick or Seth Patrick

5BlueHydrangea · 10/10/2015 23:01

Seth Patrick, or Seth Christian.

Also like Idris but partly because of Ivor the Engine - showing my age!
Are you Welsh?

BossyOfficerFlossie · 11/10/2015 14:15

Yes I am half Welsh but we don't live in Wales, not sure how Idris goes down outside Wales tbh! And yes I was also a huge Ivor fan. I have liked Arlo for years but it seems to be getting really popular now which puts me off somewhat. Seth seems to be the favourite of my two older boys, bless them, or hiccup!

I like Jonah and Caleb out of your shortlist. Never been keen on Seth (too lispy for me).

Other suggestions - Ivan, Rowan and ....

Ethan
Cian
Jude
Jago
Dylan
Bryn

PepperMallow · 12/10/2015 21:58

Conrad?

PepperMallow · 12/10/2015 22:07

I should add, our eldest DC shares one of your DS' names, when considering names for DC2 I we had the following boys names:

Alexander, Cole, Cameron, Fraser, Meyrick, Ash, Bryn, Conrad

We chose Conrad!

DonkeysDontRideBicycles · 13/10/2015 09:36

Reading the title I thought immediately of Darius or Dylan.
From your selection, Arlo Christian or Seth Patrick.
